I have a Lincoln Electric Power Arc 4000 ac/gen ac/welder. It was sat up for several years. Engine will not start. changed out coil, spark plug and carburetor
As with any gasoline engine, you need, fuel, spark & air, take a moment to follow the progression of each of them, you will figure it out: example, test your ignition switch, clean, new fuel, getting spark to the plug? do you have a fuel stop solenoid attached to the carburetor?

Depending on what exactly is broken (it may just be a set screw), it may be repairable. Contact Lincoln here and ask them for a parts diagram for the switch assembly. That will help you be able to disassemble, and identify what exactly is wrong.
Then you can make the determination if it is fixable or not. Sometimes, manufacturers will have trade-in or trade-up programs as well for damage products. Inquire about this too.
