Error Codes Relevant to Fixing/Pressure Belt Displacement Control
E007 Fixing belt displacement error
0001: Upper belt displacement fault. (Either the upper belt full displacement or the belt displacement sensor
fault.)
0002: Lower belt displacement fault. (Either the lower belt full displacement or the belt displacement sensor
fault.)
0101: Upper belt HP detection error.
0102: Lower belt HP detection error.
Note:
Adjust the fixing/pressure unit HP with the following service mode at the installation or when replacing the
fixing (pressure) belt.
COPIER > FUNCTION > FIXNG > FX-UHP-S
Points to Note When Replacing Fixing Unit
By executing the service mode, the alarm code is closed and the total rotation time is cleared. Thus, this mode
must be executed when replacing the fixing unit.
If the mode is not executed, the following symptoms will occur.
-The alarm code is not closed.
06-0002: Fixing unit life alarm (Caused by the belt displacement)
06-0004: Fixing unit life alarm (Caused by the torque up)
-Although the total rotation time of the replaced fixing assemble does not reach to the message threshold, the
machine wrongly recognize that it reaches to the threshold and displays the message.
Be sure not to execute the mode except at the installation and the fixing unit replacement. If not, an error
> FX-LHP-S
message may not be displayed when the fixing unit reaches to its life.
When a printer error occurs, the Alarm lamp is lit orange. The number displayed on the LED indicates the type of error that has occurred. Check the error code displayed on the LED and take the appropriate action to correct the error.
E and number (error code) are alternately displayed on the LED of MP210 series.
Error E, 2:
Cause: The machine is out of paper. / Paper does not feed.
Solution: Reload the paper correctly and press the Black or Color button.
This sounds like to simple a solution. Make sure this is the correct error code and it is not followed by another number. If problem persists check that you have removed the protecftive material from the FINE cartridge holder. Unplug the machine from the power source for several minutes. Power up. Hopefully this corrects the problem.
If not, try checking the status of your ink cartridges:
1 Open the printer properties dialog box from Control Panel.
2 Click View Printer Status on the Maintenance sheet.
To confirm the FINE Cartridge information, click the Ink Details menu.
This my give further clues to any problem.
Trust this is helpful. :)
