SOURCE: Freezer, Ice Maker and Water dispenser not working

it has to get down to the proper temperature after the reset the set point is -4 for the freezer and 38 for the refrigerator. the numbers shown o\n the digital display panel stands for the actual temperatures. When the compartmnet tempertures go down, so do the numbers on thge display panel, and finally they reach the set temperatures. Once the system is stabilized , the display tempoeratures are the set temperature.

SOURCE: freezer side wont freeze

First thing to try is Powering off the FF at the mains supply and leaving it standing for 30 minutes. Make sure that you do not open any of the doors or touch any of the controls during this time. Then reconnect the power and wait for 30 to 60 minutes to see if the fault remains or is cured. Try completely defrosting the FF as despite common belief these units are not totally frost free.

If the Freezer and the Fridge are not cooling enough then check that the condenser is not iced up and that the fan is running correctly. These are located behind a panel in the lower half of the freezer at the rear and can be accessed from inside the freezer compartment.

In side by sides if the freezer side is working OK and the fridge side is not working correctly it means that air ducting from the condenser has iced up or the air vent from the freezing unit to the fridge compartment has stuck in the closed or partially closed position which causes the fridge to not be any where near as cool as it should be. If it is too cold then the vent is stuck in the open position and the fridge temperature will continue to fall and become the same as the freezer, thereby freezing the contents of the fridge compartment. It can also get stuck in another position so that if the temperature is adjusted on the front panel then nothing happens to the temperature in the fridge compartment. The vent, which is usually at the top of the fridge compartment on the side where it joins the freezer compartment, is controlled by a small sync motor and either the motor has become faulty, the control module is faulty or the vent is iced up. It can be come iced up by putting too many hot items in the fridge so the steam condenses and freezes the vent in position and then the motor cannot open or close it causing it and / or the control module to become faulty. Other times it is just old age that causes the motor and / or the control module to fail. If the sync motor and vent are working OK then there may be a fault with the fridge temperature sensor or main on board controller that will mean that the sensor or the controller will need replacing.

Defy fridge freezer G91641N panel , lights, keep flashing

When the panel lights on your Defy fridge freezer are flashing, it usually indicates an error or a specific condition that needs attention. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power Reset: Start by performing a power reset to see if it resolves the flashing lights issue. Turn off the fridge freezer at the main power supply or unplug it from the electrical outlet. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, and then plug it back in or switch on the main power supply. Check if the lights continue to flash.
  2. Check Error Codes: Consult the user manual or documentation for your Defy fridge freezer to identify the meaning of the flashing lights or any error codes displayed on the panel. The manual will provide specific information on what each flashing light or error code signifies and any recommended actions to resolve the issue.
  3. Temperature Settings: Ensure that the temperature settings on the fridge and freezer compartments are set correctly. Incorrect temperature settings can sometimes trigger error codes or unusual behavior. Adjust the settings to the recommended levels and observe if the flashing lights persist.
  4. Contact Customer Support: If the flashing lights persist or you are unable to identify the issue using the manual, it's recommended to contact the Defy customer support or an authorized service center. They can provide further guidance and assistance in diagnosing and resolving the problem.

"change water filter" continues to flash when dispensing water

I believe your new Jen-Air has an old model number placed above your post. If you had a newer model nuber I could see if changes were made to the solution. The ods are no changes. I it possible you may have missed removal of te flilter plug? It also is your first time and to press the 2 buttons at same time for 8 to 10 seconds may be a little confusing. I bet after this time you will have this down to an art! here is what I could find without the vorrect model number if that is what happened or not.Jenn-Air
Press and hold the light and lock buttons until the change filter light flashes.
It is very easy to reset your filter indicator light on your Maytag refrigerator. Simply press and hold the light and lock buttons, on the dispenser, for about three (3) seconds, until the change filter light blinks.
Jenn-Air Refrigerators - Press and Hold The Light and Lock Buttons until the filter light flashes (usually 5-10 seconds).
