Code "EC" means that the unit is low on Freon,, it will need to be charged, and also figure out why it's low,, allot of times the copper line connections need to be tightened.

Does Not Shut Off

1st go the the house breaker (dbl breaker) for the dryer and shut it off and turn it back on, your dryer runs on 220 volts of power but if the breaker is partially tripped it may be only running on 110 volts which is only enough power to turn the lights on and to turn the drum the element needs 220 volts to turn on. If it still doesn't heat after resetting the breaker then you may need a heating element or thermostat. The dryer isn't shutting off because it isn't detecting the clothes are getting dry so once you fix your heating problem the dryer should start shutting off on its own again.

if just the lamp turns off and the rest of the projector is running, it's time to change the lamp. if the whole projector turns off (not goes through shut down), it may be a power supply problem.

Cooktop Locked Up!!

Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...

Subzero 690 flashing EC and service

Rhino, this is yet another simple fix. You need to call subzero and let them know that your ref section is not cooling properly. 9 out of 10 times it will be a problem with the evaporator coil needing replacement. Sub is aware of this issue and usually picks up the tab for this repair.

Computer shuts down but does not turn off

Mchem, you actually have 2 separate issues going on there.
  • Open control panel > open the system control panel
  • in the system properties, click on the advanced tab
  • in the startup and recovery section, click the settings button
  • In the startup and recovery dialog box, under system failure, remove the check from the automatically restart option
  • click ok
  • click ok

  • Open control panel > open power options
  • in the power options properties, select the advanced tab,
  • in the power buttons section,
  • When I press the power button on my computer: click on the drop down menu and select the shut down option
  • click ok
Sebastien123, you only need to run the first part of this solution.
