Hi There, For some reason my Pro-94 1000 Channel Scanner has a problem receiving the above mentioned frequency. It will lock on the frequency, talk about 3-4 seconds and then just quit talking.
I have had the Pro-94 for several years and never had a problem before this started about 2 weeks ago.
Any ideals would be greatly appreciated.
The other frequencys work ok, its just the weather ones that I am having trouble with. I have tried new batteries, and I have the adapter to use with electric, but neither helped the problem.

You may also have pressed the ALT button, which will put the scanner in ALERT mode, esentially turning it into a weather alert radio. The weather frequencies will remain silent until the NOAA station you are listening to issues some kind of watch/warning or weekly test.
I had this problem also. It appears that in my case the problem was that I had accidentally pressed the trunk button while accessing the weather frequencies using the SVC function (E button). Pressing it again while scanning weather frequencies when using the SVC function will clear the problem - if that is the cause.
If your still having the problem, it could be that the transmitter for that freq lost some of it's power, so your scanner cannot pick up a clear signal. If everything else is working ok, that's my guess. Hope this helps,,, Mechanic

My 6-year old nephew "reprogramed" my unit and now we can't get the weather on NOAA --- it won't program in, any ideas?
