Just pop it off. Need force, no need to take hub caps off.

The screw cap on the water tank is leaking steam

You can do a couple of fixes here. One would be to take the iron with you to a hardware store (not a big box store} and find a replacement for your cap. The other would be to pick up some plumbers thread tape. Wrap that around the threads of the cap you have and reinsert it. That will take care of the gaps.

Distributor cap removal

On some models, they only used 2 clips. You pop those 2 clips and off it comes. Used a lot of Fords and some Dodges. Chevrolet mostly used screws to secure.

I have an older model and it is not shooting steam like it did when it was new. I have tried to contact a Rowenta repair center without any luck. Is it ok to use a deposit remover in just the tank if I...

Frankly, I never use or "need" to use deposit removers (vinegar or CLR) just because I only use filtered water in the tank and use all the water until the unit is totally dry, using the blast of steam to clear out as much as possible. I remove the blue reservoir entirely, wait for the iron to be totally cool to the touch, open up the trim knob and sloted metal screw with a penny and shake out the rest of the water as much as possible. I leave the whole works to dry overnight or longer and only then do we pack it back up for storate. Just my way, don't like putting acids or salts into any metal tank for safety reason.

MY ROWENTA 1550W UPRIGHT STEAMER NO LONGER PRODUCES STEAM. WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG AND HOW CAN I ATTEMPT TO FIX IT?

I have a Rowenta garment steamer. It will turn on but no steam comes out. Does it need to be cleaned from the build up of iron, etc. from the water? If so, how do I go about this?

Power Cord

Manufacturers are getting more and more clever about hiding screws which allow covers to be removed. Probably has to do with product liability.

Anyway, look for a brand or settings insignia that can be removed - like a thin aluminum plate. Screws are sometimes hidden underneath. If the cover is a gauge for a control, be very careful not to damage it when you remove it. You will want to put it back.

Water drips out of steam holes

I suspect that by placing it on its heel rest the water from the tank is not allowed to enter into the steam chamber and when you go into ironing mode there is a rush of water that is cooling down the sole plate to below steaming temperature. Try keeping it in the horizontal position on a heat proof pad and press the steam button just before going into ironing mode.
