After self cleaning, the oven will no longer come on. When you turn the oven control on, the self clean light flashes, but the oven won't come on. I have tried to self clean again...which it WILL do, but after the cycle is finished, the lights on the contol panel flash instead of going off. The burners work, but I know that they run independently of the oven. I cannot locate a cancel or reset button & I've tried unplugging the unit to let the control panel cool off, but nothing has worked.
My oven will not work. After pressing the desired temp on the oven, the preheat light and oven light comes on. After about 15 minutes, the oven is slightly warm and maybe an hour later the oven may or may not heat to desired temp. Kenmore gas range model #790.72851301.
Give me the complete model # from the sticker on the oven and I can tell what you need to fix it.
During the self clean it may have burnt out the ignitor. Need to check power to ignitor when in bake. Should have 120 volts. If power is there and ignitor is not coming on then it is bad. Could also check resistance of ignitor with an ohm meter. Also, could have burnt out the oven temp. sensor. You can check the resistance on the sensor from the board. Now, if the ignitor is coming on and oven is not lighting, the ignitor could have become too weak. In this case you would need to replace the ignitor. Let me know what you find.

The model number is 362.72321002. Thanks.
Having been in the appliance business for over 10 years, I actually was pretty sure of the problem before I started. It was not the ignitor, unfortunately, because I could have fixed that. I actually seemed to have taken out part of the board, thus forcing us to replace the oven. Thanks.
I have A Spectra Electric Oven and after the clean cycle the oven will no longer work. When I turn on the oven the lights on the control panel only flash but it does not heat up.I have tried cleaning it again(which it will do) and unplugging it nothing works.
Bought a Kenmore gas range in 2006. 13 mo. later had same problem,
replaced the part for $226. Used the self cleaning oven 3 weeks ago and
the same problem occured. Now they want $368 to fix it, plus the $75 I
spent for the last service call. Can't find anyone at Sears to help with
this defective range.
