Sorry this tv it is not repairable because the tv Plasma screen panel itself it is the tv problems and the causes,this tv only can be repair by replace the whole new tv Plasma screen panel itself only not practical.Because the tv Plasma screen panel are 90% inportant to the tv functions and the cost of the tv.By replacing the tv Plasma screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.
Ur tv still have the funsctions ON like Close Captioning.U have the tv original remote wright?Yes?Tries the remote button like CC on ur tv remote pushes it a couples make sure like CC1,2.3..turn all off.Tries go into the tv Menu tries looking for Closed Captioning functions turn CC1,2,3...turn it all off and Text1,2,3...turn it all off too.These two functions off.Tv will stop this big black box poping up on the tv screen.
Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to used.U will used the tv original remote to turn to channel 3 with ease.After u have the tv original remote push the menu button go into Closed Captioning functions turn off like TEXT 1,2,3...The big black box will not appear on the screen again.Tv used it manually control buttons up and down channels trying to get to channel 3.U will never get it to tv channel 3 because tv channel 3 was not save on it memory list of on the tv turn manually channels buttons programming memory.Tv have a manual button said MEMU button on it tv front bazel frame?Yes.Might could used the Menu button on the tv frame to get in to turn off TEXT 1,2,3...to stop the big black box to show up on the tv screen again.
Always go through the basics before you post questions. All I did was reset the TV (unplug for a few minutes) and it is back to normal. Lesson learned, TV fixed, thanks.
