Powerware5115 will not switch on

A weak or dead battery pack its the main reason of a unresponsive/good health UPS, but never forget to test the electric cord, the fuse and the protective relay.first, this sounds too simple, but thats a common fault.

Battery pack must have at least 5 volts with half amp of current to power up the UPS internal relays, giving electric power to the main switch.

To rise the 12/24 DC volts to 115/120 AC volts, the UPS uses some electronic components (semiconductors) called MOSFETS , and sometimes, blown (browned) MOSFETS on the electric board are the most desastrous cause of a unresponsive (completely dead) or faulty UPS. (I remember that some time ago I see a TRIPP LITE SMART 1500LCD UPS with twelve blown MOSFETS, when happened, that kind of fault must be saw like a little volcano!).

If you know how to take all the safety electric measures, and how to use a portable voltmeter, you can test the voltage/amperage on the battery pack, the electric cord and the replaceable fuse (if has any). Basic and intermediate electronic knowledge is necessary to test MOSFETS and other electronic components on the circuit board.

Rectifier and heatsink temperature sensor not ok for 9390 powerware ups system. When i switch on the 9390 ups a message appears which reads check rect temperature sensor and check heatsink temperature...

it could be your uPS given the problem the mosfet might be spoil... as the temperture is high because of the transformer is not given the clean current to bypass the systems and the there not much air filter out from the ups depend on the condition of the room might be too warm.. there a higher chance was the mainboard problem well u check the sensor lst and also try to unplug and plug bk to restart the sensor... if it will not slove the problem check with the vendor to come down and check..

9120 Battery Failure

sounds like inverter is unhappy(causing the input fuse to blow. maybe, just maybe, this Powerware 9120 has given up the ghost? The inverter can short for a variety of reasons. Try to take out the battery completely, and run it as just a power conditioner. If that works, then you have an unhappy inverter in there.

there is a 100uf/63v capacitor near the IRF630 fet. You need to replace this in order to fix this error. Along there is also a 2200uf/16v capacitor. It is a good idea to change the both at the same time.
