I have just been given HP Pavillion DV9500 notebook pc laptop, and would like to upgrade the ram, can I do this with a Quanta 30d1 s1 motherboard, if yes by how much, currently has 2g ram and about 100 gig hard drive, thankyou if anyone can help! Clare
It has SATA drive and you can upgrade to any standard size, You might have a problem with the data cable.
It was an advanced laptop for the moment it was released in 2007 but obviously now it's rather old. Originally run with Windows Vista but I believe shouldn't have any problem with Windows 7. If you want to save yourself problems, don't upgrade it to windows 10!
I'm sure you can upgrade memory to 4 gb but don't have info if accepts more then 4 Gb
