Robinair model 34700z won't recover, it gets stuck on clearing in progress. I also tried to just perform a vacuum and it says that pressure exist press any key to continue. Your help would be greatly appreciated
I had a similar problem with a Robinair 17800b. The machine got stuck in Clr or (Clearing) while changing from R-12 to R-134a. If the tank (R-12 or R134a) does not have at least 10 pounds of refrigerant in the tank before you change to another refrigerant, the machine will stay in the clearing process. I called tech support and they walked me through a process that resets the machine. The reset involves entering a code while in r-12 mode, then removing all hoses and switching the switch to R-134a mode and entering another code. The call to the tech line took about 5 mins. The number I called 1-800-822-5561.
SOURCE: Machine will not clear existing pressure
Please check your unit compressor also & make sure compressoe haveing minimum 13''Hg suction.
Hi
Error code FH appears when No water is detected
entering machine or Pressure switch trip is not detected. If after 30 seconds
the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be
turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to
clear the display. If there is no water entering the unit then make sure that
the inlet valves are working fine. You may need to check the continuity at the
inlet valves. If the valves are fine then check whether inlet water hoses as
they might be plugged. Also check for inlet water screen at the valve. However,
if the water is entering into the washer then the Drain pump might not be
working. Also inspect the Pressure Switch hose whether it is in good condition
and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch. Also check hoses for leak
and inspect the flow meter. Hope this helps...

It's sound to me you need to Replace the Compressor. Check spin-on
filter (press MENU button on the control board & then keep pressing up or
down arrow key till appear "FILTER CAPACITY", then press ENTER key). If
the filter already recover 68KG/150LBS refrigerant since last filter change. Then
you have to replace spin-on filter immediately! Over filter weight is the main cause of
compressor damage
But if you want to make sure
yourself, please do the following: Press recover & fix a vacuum gauge on
your machine Compressor suction port & monitor the gauge is going up
to13"HG suction, if not then you need to replace the compressor.
I wish this will help you to solve the problem. If so, don't forget to vote for
it. Good luck!
