The error lite on Buzzaround Lite scooter flashing

5 flash code is the electro magnetic Brake. This is referring to the brake on the motor that can be released by the freewheel lever.

1. place the freewheel lever into the free wheel position. Ensure the scooter is in free wheel and move the scooter forwards and backwards a few times.

2. Place the freewheel lever in drive position, push on scooter to ensure it is in drive and does not move. Turn on key and press the throttle. If you have the same code again, call a technician to check the brake, chances are it needs replaced.

Rascal scooter 245

Most of these chairs have a clutch release lever near the motors. Move it into free-wheeling and it should roll nicely.

Celebrity x mobility scooter . error code 5

The freewheel lever is in the neutral position (which allows you to move the scooter around by pushing it. Turn the key switch off then move the lever to the drive position , turn it back on and it should run fine. The freewheel lever is sticking up through the plastic cowl. It is located under the seat on the right hand side near the rear of the sccooter

Flat battery

the scooter will not move when plugged in, if you have a free wheel lever on the back to allow the scooter to be pushed make sure the lever is in the run position also have the batteries load tested

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

In Drive position the wheels are locked and in neutral the wheels remain locked and will not spin or free wheel. In drive with the battery in the unit just clicks but does not move, everything works such...

I would suspect that the brake is not releasing causing your problem. When you place the handle in freewheel and you can't push the scooter easily then the brake pad is stuck on the motor housing. If you are able remove the seat and back cover remove the drive wheel on the side of the scooter nearest the freewheel lever usually the right side. you should be able to see the brake attached to the end of the motor with 3 or 4 hex head screws. take the brake off the end of the motor and carefully leave the wiring attached ( don't break or remove the wires going to the brake or the scooter will not run at all) remove the brake and place or tie it up where it won't fall or drag. Put the drive wheel back on and turn the scooter on and see if it will now move. If it moves like it should you will have to replace the brake. You can drive the scooter like this but remember you do not have brakes so the scooter can roll backwards or forward when not on and especially on ramps Hope this helps

The free-wheel lever will not release.

I had same proble - spray some lubricating oil on the lever, let it sit for awhile, than GENTLY tap it with a hammer. Worked for me

The scooter rar wheels locked up nothing moves

hi, if the freewheel lever is jammed which is located on the drive motor, take the rear cover off and make sure the lever is not bent,

you will see how the freewheel lever is mounted under normally a rubber cover on the side of the electric motor ,

Let me know

New batteries, fully charged, still wont work

I will ask but don't take offence, so many people overlook the obvious, have you checked the free wheel lever/s are not set to free wheel (if it is the scooter will be relatively easy to push forward or backward) if set to free wheel then move lever/s to drive position

this is a link for the sonic scooter user guide, not 100% sure that it is the exact one or not but it should show you were to find the free wheel lock on your scooter it is in this guide and I would be surprised if it is not the same as yours. Hope that helps. Mark.
