You should be able to download the user manuals on both of these units for free by just googling them and then compare the stats.

SOURCE: yAMAHA YDS-11 TO A RX-V459

Hi, as per yamaha site RX-V459 doesn't have the DOCK connector which is used by YDS-11 dock (or the bluetooth module). This is the only possibility to connect the YDS-11. YDS nor receiver don't have USB connector and they are not needed.
For example RX-V465 does have DOCK connector and supports YDS-11.
For your receiver, you can use only analog audio cable with your iPod.

SOURCE: Can Yamaha RX-V459 setup as bi-wired?

No, why? It's more hype than actual improvement.

SOURCE: hello i have a yamaha RX-v459,

Yes, the cable box should/could be treated as any other digital audio device. The video could also be run directly to the TV as it doesn't actually improve from being routed to/through the Yamaha, does it?

The labeling on a given input is irrelevant (except for "PHONO", which is literal and exclusively for a turntable).

My Yamaha RX-V459 amp will not turn on. Suggestions?

Hello,

Check the fuse, it's possible to be blown. If you not deal with electronics, don't atempt to repair it ( first you need to know what cause the fuse blown, and after that you can change it) so, i sugest to call a service center.

Yamaha Theatre receiver turns off at high volume 'Check SP wires' checked speaker wires no problem found. Why is this happening?

there are usually 2 things that cause this, (1) a driver in your speaker is going bad or a output IC/transister is going bad. Being a tech I have seen devices that operate fine at low to moderate levels but would fail when driven hard.

I getting noise in yamaha rx-459 please help.

I used to get noise as well. It turned out to be that one of the cables to the speakers was loose. Try tightening the cable connections to the Yamaha and to the speakers.

Vocals missing while playing with 2 speakers

Go to the amp "Basic Setup" and alter basic setup according to
- the size of the room (details in the manual)
- alter the no. of channels e.g. if you have only 2 front speakers, change the channels to 2.1 (.1 for the subwoof)
- Once the setup is changed, the amp pumps in sound according to the set up

All the best
