SOURCE: water leak on manifold of
I had this problem with my 1998 suburban.......there is a quick connect that goes into the
top of the engine close to the water pump.......the hose will come off without any tools....the quick connect screws into the top of the engine.....in fact my was so screwed up it busted off in the engine and I had to use an easy out to remove it.........
I went to O'reillys and they showed me what was leaking...... when its just leaking a little it hits the manifold and evaporates....so you never see any water...
SOURCE: Oil leaks and blows out from the engine to the
Go to your local "wand type" car wash. The high pressure will work well to clean the oil off. Be prepaired to get dirty. Let the engine cool down for a few minutes then raise the hood and clean the engine as well as under the car all the way to the back. Let it dry for a while. Start the engine and watch for the leak (s). You may have to drive it some to find to find it but don't drive to far between times you stop and check for the leak or you will have to clean it off again. If the leak is as bad as you say I would look at the front & rear main seals or the oil filter first and then the valve cover.
