Hobart lxih found leaky hoses, and replaced those. Now soon as I turn on the water supply on with the dishwasher in an off position, water continually fills and eventually overflows the tub.

Error codes p2 with a wrench. Machine fills with power off

SOURCE: Hobart LX 30 P2 Error and unit overflowing!

Hi drogers77,

I'm not a Hobart technician, but here what I founded in my manual for the LX30 error message:

LX18 / LX30 display shows E0, E2, E3 or E4

1. Low water pressure - check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.

2. Make sure probes are clean

3. No water pressure - main water supply valves may not be working

4. Drain valve open - turn machine OFF to drain machine, then ON. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the OFF-ON procedure. If problem persists, call your local Hobart Service Office.

5. Delime machine.

Hope it will help you.

I have a Hobart LXiH sanitizer/dishwasher and it doesn't fill with water, gives error code E3. Any input greatly appreciated.

Error code E3 on a Hobart LXiH sanitizer/dishwasher typically indicates a problem with the water fill system. Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
  1. Water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and that there is adequate water pressure. Check for any kinks or blockages in the water supply line.
  2. Water inlet valve: The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the dishwasher. Check to see if the valve is open and that there is no debris blocking the inlet. If the valve is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Water level sensor: The water level sensor is responsible for detecting the water level in the dishwasher. If the sensor is not working properly, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. Check the sensor for any signs of damage or debris.
  4. Water pump: The water pump is responsible for pumping water into the dishwasher. If the pump is not working properly, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. Check the pump for any signs of damage or debris.
  5. Control board: The control board manages all the electrical functions of the dishwasher. If the control board is faulty, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. In this case, the control board will need to be replaced.

After pressing On - the dishwasher just sits are about 80 degrees and doesn't get any hotter when normally it goes up to about 118. Can we still use it to wash or is something wrong?

A hobart LXIH-3 uses a chemical to sanitize however a 120 degree wash temp is required as well.

Turn up your hot water tank that supplies the dishmachine, make sure your sanitizer is pumping into the rinse cycle using micro-clorine test papers and all is well.

E5 error - need to know where drain hoses are

tried to take off the drain hose, but could not get it off the back, only by the disposal. I turned if off and on about 6 times and ran the delime cycle with lots of limeaway. It got the E5 error on the delime cycle, but it worked the next time I tried to run it.
The manual does say to turn it off and on as it drains out the water. Takes a while as it has to heat up the water each time.
