I would say this is down to a hardware fault, this can be either of two things.

1. Check your memory (Ram) underneath the laptop, remove and then re-seat, if that fails then try new memory.

2. Your GPU ( Graphics card ) has gone faulty, unfortunately this can not be replaced so will therefor need a new motherboard.

Hi. Try to remove the battery, unplug the ac adapter and press/hold the power button for 10 seconds then plug the ac adapter in. do not put thebattery back in yet. turn the computer on and see what will happen.

If nothing happens, your motherboard needs to be replaced.

Insert your Windows install CD and boot from it. When it asks you to select either install a new copy or Repair current OS. Select current OS, you might lose some data but it might fix the starting problem.
