This is from the installation manual for the Viper 300. To answer your question, it is probably camoflaged. They only needed to tie +12vdc to the input line. What does this mean? Well, my best guess is, they are using one of your switches on your dash to act as the Valet function. Look for where the Gray wire, from the wiring harness of the Viper goes to: that WILL BE your hidden Valet switch. Best of luck!

98 is gen 2 jeep, 99 is gen 3, so which is it? one or the other.

some cars the valet is used in the , normal ignition key slot.

1. 1 Insert the key into the ignition.
2. 2 Turn the ignition switch to "ON." Do not start the engine.
3. 3 Press and hold the valet/override button within five seconds of turning the ignition on. The valet button is located beneath the steering column.
4. 4 Release the valet/override button after the security indicator light turns off.
5. 5 Turn the ignition switch off.

The valet switch is usually located around the drivers side. Each installation is different, as are most alarms. The valet switch could be part of the flashing LED or, it could be incorporated into the on glass antenna. If not, it should be located below the driver side dash. If you can see the alarm, locate the blue two pin plug and trace the wire to the push button valet. If the unit is manufactured by Directed (Viper, Python, Avital, Clifford, Valet, Automate, Hornet, etc.) turn ignition on then off, press and release valet within 10 seconds, LED will illuminate solid to show system is in valet. If the unit is manufactured by Audiovox (Prestige, Pursuit, Code (new)) turn ignition on, press and hold valet switch for approx. five seconds, release, LED will illuminated solid to show system is in valet.
If you are attemting to manually override the system, turn ignition on, press and release valet switch to disarm.

Locate the valet switch( black push button), turn ignition on, press and release valet switch. the valet switch is plugged onto the main control unit. You can find the main control unit by tracing the harness that you unplugged from the shock sensor. The valet switch is plugged into a two pin plug and has a blue end. Trace the wire to the valet switch.

The LED light always on means the system is in valet. The remote starter should still work in valet so, check your hood pin switch to make sure the pin is making contact with the hood when the hood is closed.
Locate the valet swich under the dash. It's a black push button. Turn the ignition on, press and hold the button, count to five. Release the button, the light should go off. If there is a remote starter shut down installed, it should be located near the valet switch. It's a toggle switch that may still have a red boot over it. Flip the switch in the opposite setting. The remote starter should work afterwards.

First you have to know where the valet switch is located. When you locate the switch turn ignition to on position ans flip the switch. the led light for the alarm should stay on STEADY (with out flashing).
