Sensor goes off when you hit a wall

it is probably because you are not supposed to hit the wall with the vacuum you are hitting the power switch which shuts the cleaning unit off

Machine turns on and off by itself and keeps doing it

Hubby says it could be a stuck button. Otherwise there could be a fault with your front control panel. Feel special, he's never come across that before!

Celestial TV does its own thing

I had the same problem with the same model. On my set the channel up switch on the front of the set was faulty. I suspect the same symptoms would occur should any of the front of set control switches fail in the same way. I measured the switch with a digital multimeter and found the switch would not open circuit and would roam around 2 to 10 Ohms due to a build up within the switch itself. If you simply disconnect the switch and use the remote control you should be back in business. I repaired my switch by opening it and cleaning and re-assembling. Not sure of the availability of replacements.

Williams wall furnace, top vent.

I've replaced a Williams wall gas heater non-electric. The thermostat is connected right and mounted on the wall. But, there's a thick black copper wire on the side of the furnace tagged thermostat. I don't know what to do with it? Where do you connect this wire? When it touches the top screw of the three screws running vertically(where the other wires are connected). The burner lights up and stays on, even if you play with the wall thermostat. Touching the other two screws doesn't do anything. Now, the manual talks about connecting it to the venting wires? Extra wires coming from the top or maybe somewhere else in the wall? I've left it connected to the first screw, ran the heater. But, it never turns off? Any suggestions? Thanks
