HELP! My MP3 device is unable to download any music from rhapsody! An error keeps popping up "Error code 0xc00d2772". Can someone please help?

Rhapsody switched the devices they allow for their music site. I bought a refurbished SanDisk Sansa MP3 from ebay, but rhapsody keeps saying my device is not operating properly - even though I have authorized it. I'll take any advice I can get!

SOURCE: sansa rhapsody mp3 player

Your Windows Media Player may need to be updated and the player may need to be formatted. Please try these steps: 1) If you do not have it installed yet, please install the latest version of WMP10. 2) Download and install the quick fix from: http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/e/0/7e055e3f-6014-43bc-b6ff-6a90ced1d032/WindowsMedia10-KB902344-x86-INTL.exe 3) Format m250 device using the Sync mode in WMP. 4) To test, transfer songs to the player using the software for your subscription music service.

SOURCE: vista not compatible with rhapsody.

I use Rhapsody with Vista. You need to go to Rhapsody's website (or Best Buy Digital Music Store, which runs the same software) and download the updated version, which will work just fine.

Purchased music from iTunes can be put on Sansa players as well when you set-up Rhapsody to manage your music. Have the program detect your music library and then all you have to do is drag and drop to your MP3 player.

All I had to do was fomat the device using its Settings Menu choice.
It wiped everything off the device, but then I was able to sync any song over to it using my Yahoo Music Jukebox software.

Can't transfer data files

Hi,

I called Sansa and I was instructed to format my player. The steps were as follows:
1)Connect player to computer
2)Go to my computer and right click on your player
3) Click format on the menu

This will start the formatting of the player. After this I was fine. This is the 2nd time I have had to do this in a year and all I put on this player are books.

******Please Note**** This process will erase any files you have on your mp3 player.

Can't download files from Overdrive files

Make sure that either your Rhapsody or Overdrive subscription is still good and resync all files in Windows Media Player.

If that fails, you'll have to start from scratch:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
-----
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Error Message

You have to synchronize your Sansa to a computer that has a current subscription to Rhapsody, and you have to sync the Sansa to that same computer at least once every 30 days, or the Rhapsody songs will stop working. Use a different music service that is free, or convert all of the songs to Mp3 format to get around the problem. If you get a subscription to another music svc, then you must maintain a current subscription with whatever new svc you choose as well.

Synchroniz

Do you have a subscription with Rhapsody or Napster?

If so, you need to log in for them to update your account, which will solve it.

If not, did you use your own music from CD's? Did you use Windows Media Player to copy the music to the computer? Did you change the default settings in Windows Media Player?

If so, the default settings for WMP are to "copy protect my music", which will give you this error. You will need to change the RIP Music settings in WMP. Tools>Options> un-check the copy protect my music option. You will then need to delete all the music you previously copied to the device and ti your PC an copy them again with theis new setting in place.

Finally, if you have the "Rhapsody" version, there is pre-loaded music on it that if not deleted, will cause this problem. You can format the device to remove the pre-loaded music, or manually delete it from the System folder.

Please add to the question if that didnt work.

Best of Luck.

E250 mp3

The "please sync" error means you need to connect to Rhapsody and sign-in. It will update your licenses so you can play the music.

If thats not working, your account is expired, or Rhapsody needs to check your account.
