Hp c5180 printer: While printing a job, the yellow cartrige required replacing. After replacing, this flag came up in my printer screen:
Ink System Failure
Ink system has failed. Unable
to print. Refer to printer
documentation.
Error: 0xc18a0201
Turn power off, then on again.
I have done so and even tried another new cartridge but to no avail. Can you help?
It sounds like the printer is malufunctioning...it might be a problem with the printer head..see where the printer opens for the ink.. look at the yellow space for the ink.. remove the ink and take a cotton swab full of alcohol and clean it then let it dry and place the new ink cartridge there and restart the machine..see if it gives the same eror..if it does consider replacing the device

Switch off the power, press and hold the ok and help buttons then restore power this will do a reset on the printer and cure this problem

cleaned inkwell where cartridge went with alcohol
still needs some way of blowing out the old ink? anyways, the partial cleaning did not fix it. I will get some cleaner next week and try again..
Did as directed in solution #2 and no difference in problem and don't know if printer actually did a "reset" when doing the buttons, as directed- - -just the slight noises and ratcheting just like as before. The problem still remains. but thanks.
