I keep getting an error code that looks like 2 C's. The dryer is still drying but it will finish and shut off and then turn back on. What does this mean?

A PF (Power Failure) error code indicates that the drying cycle has been interrupted by a power failure. Touch and hold START to restart the dryer cycle or press POWER to clear the display.

Hello. I don't know what make/model dryer you have but the problem could be with load size and type of clothing. The sensor bars are usually located on the front of the lint screen housing(you have to put your head in the dryer and look back to see them--they are 2 metal strips, approx 1/2" apart and at least several inches long). The damp/wet clothing keeps shorting across the strips, telling the main board to keep the dryer running. If there isn't enough of a load, the dryer may think that the clothes are dry prematurely and count down too quickly. The sensor bar technology *is not* an exact science--it works best on large loads with like clothing. For smaller loads, use time dry and adjust the temp setting accordingly. I hope I helped you.

it means auto dry it will check the temp of the clothes so if they dryer quicker then 40-45 minutes it will shut off earlier instead of running the full 40-45 minutes. Your heater element is going out. Depending on the style, it makes contact until it gets hot and expands. Then it breaks contact and shuts off.

AD is a indication of board problems.I would unplug the unit for 20 minutes to see if unit will reset

The motor may be getting hot due to bad rolers idler or glide. You need to take the machine apart and oil it. While you have it broken down you may want to turn the motor and see if it is stiff. The motor can be oiled but it is tricky. there are no oil ports you must make some. I use zoomspout oiler from ace hardware. Its high temp resistant formula and viscosity is perfect for dryers and HVAC needs.

E1 error code indicates an open thermistor or open thermistor circuit. A thermistor is a component that relays the temperature in the dryer to the control board. If the thermistor has failed, Error code E1 will be displayed.
You need to call a repair person to fix it.

“E2” flashes if the thermistor has shorted.

The thermistor monitors the exhaust temperature
and cycles the high-limit thermostat on
and off to maintain the desired temperature.
1. Turn the dryer off but keep the electrical
supply connected.
2. Make sure that the dryer is empty and that
the lint screen is clean.
3. Close the dryer door.
4. Select Heavy Duty, Timed Dry, More Time
or Less Time, End of Cycle Signal (Louder)
and Start.
5. If error codes E1 or E2 flash on the display
after 1 minute and the dryer turns off,
the thermistor, or the wire harness, is either
shorted or open. Check the wire connections
at the thermistor or the machine
control electronics board. If wiring checks
okay, replace the thermistor.
6. If the dryer seems to operate normally, remove
the exhaust vent and start the dryer.
7. Select the desired temperature cycle to be
tested, and select 20 minutes of Timed Dry
heat using the More Time or Less Time
pushbuttons.

I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY DRYER (AEQ6000CE32). WHENEVER I PUT THE CLOTHES IN IT JUST SPINS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND SHUTS OFF BEFORE THE ALLOTTED TIME. THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE DRYER. ANY SLOUTIONS?
