TDAC-02212. Why does it turn off with no warning message?

Polaroid TDAC-02212 will not turn on. The red light is on and turns to blue momentarily when the power button is pushed. The screen will flash a little then back to off, with the red stand by light.

It may fix it with a new power supply but personally I'd recycle it...that wasn't a good set when it was new, lots of issues, Ive personally never seen a good Polaroid TV, they should have stuck to cameras as they were great back in the day.

Yes You Can, Try Typing "TDAC-02212 Remote" In The Amazon Search Engine. About $40 To $45 Bucks. It Should Come With A Manual On How To Program It To Your TV.

Screen displays little squares instead of picture, when you first turn it on there is a picture for a split second, then it goes back to digital squares.Everything else works fine, sound, channel...

You might have loss off signal true it on a different cable source ie in another room

You probably have failing capacitors in the power supply. Or the panel itself is failing. The capicotr fix isnt too bad but if the panel is failing its no good.

I'm sorry. I wish it were better news. That said, its only about $12 to fix the capacitor issue. http://www.amazon.com/POLAROID-TDAC-0221... If you know someone who can work a soldering iron, its worth a shot.
