Hi! Were you able to figure it out? I am having the same issue and it is driving me nuts! Lol. I dont get hoe the instructions dont provide details for fabric removal! Please let me know if you were able to get it off. I got mine second hand and it is filthy. :(
There are two hoops of elastic at either end of the sun canopy - these hook in behind the knuckles of the bar that goes over the carseat (the carry handle/roll bar). Once you've hooked them in (it is fiddly, but possible) you can then tuck the rest of the fabric in between the plastic at the back of the carseat and the carseat fabric.
If you can't do it, pop it into a local retailer and ask them to give you a hand.
The two plastic pieces clip together inside the fabric of the canopy, but if you push the fabric all the way to one side, you can expose the latch where the two pieces meet. The two pieces are identical, so you can push in on the tab on either piece to separate them. You have to push firmly, but they should separate easily.
Once you've washed the canopy, just thread one of the plastic pieces through the canopy and snap the two back together by sliding them together.
So after you snap off the buttons on it, get a screwdriver and unscrew the two screws on the part that controls the music and vibrations then you need to slide the canopy part off on both sides and then you can take off the fabric to wash
I got this from the manual. I attached pictures from the old and new model for the peg peregeo Viagggio. Once the canopy is off you should be able to remove the fabric, just make sure to use the care instructions if you are going to wash it.
If this is for the Graco Snugride (I have the Windsor model from the Quattro Travel System), this will work:
1. Push the Graco canopy to one side, exposing the plastic support bars that hold the canopy in place.
2. The center of the support is where the canopy comes apart. Using both hands, pull the canopy support bar apart (as if you were playing tug-of-war). It's best to grab the curved ends and pull HARD (and point it away to the side so that you don't hit your face).
3. Once the support bars are apart, remove the old Graco canopy and slip on the new/freshly washed canopy.
4. Secure the support bars by snapping them shut, and then slide the canopy into place.
I could not get the fabric off my canopy either. I found it slide nicely into my washer (top loader with agitator) even with metal insert. I washed on delicate and it came out great, with no damage to canopy.
Hello I too have this bassinet and went looking online for a 'how to' on removing to wash. What I found was the manual, I will post the link below. In the manual it does say that the fabric cannot be removed from the canopy frame.
you have to either turn off your pop up blocker for this manual or hold down "control" when clicking the link for it
I have repaired many Gaggenau extractors before.
On this model you were correct to remove two top screws from duct. The top and lower duct slide inside each other, and should be removed as 1 unit, by lifting the lower duct UP and then away from the wall. Sometimes there are two further screws holding the bottom duct to the canopy. Remove the filters and check for screws from inside canopy.
Once ducts are removed you will see the a box, metal or plastic. Remove lid and you will see the pc board. There is a 10A fuse on there. Some models do not have fuses, and the whole board should be replaced!
Good luck!
