Follow to Clear Canon Printer Error Message E13 and E16 Code for effective printing. Canon Inkjet Printers works on basic on counting the number of pages printed and calculate the page covered in order to determine how much the ink cartridge is present. The Error message E13 and E16 error message arrives when it is believed the printer cartridge ink has run out of indicating that you need to change or install the all new ink cartridge. If this error message is being displayed on your printers screen then your printer will stop printing and scanning as well. The error message E13 and E16 is most commonly and noticed one when someone is using a refilled or remanufactured cartridge as they will read it as low or empty immediately. The affected cartridges have no means of detecting fresh ink within the cartridge. Or follow the steps top resolve the message or connect to Canon Printer Technical Support for any query.
Steps to Clear Canon Printer Error Message E13 and E16 code:
Step1: Skipping the message
The Canon Printer overestimating tendency of how quickly ink within their cartridges run out and if you have received this message you will certainly have some ink left. Gratefully the arrived message can be overridden and you can continue printing with the press of button. Only you need to perform some steps:

·Locate the STOP or RESET or RESUME button on Canon printer machine which is signified by a triangle within a circle on the body of the printer and is usually in red, white or black.
·Hold the reset button after locating at least for five seconds and then release it. This simple prompt signals to your printer that you are aware that the cartridge may have run out of ink, but would like to continue printing regardless of any fact.
·Canon printer will now continue printing without an on-screen ink level estimate until the ink in the cartridge has physically run out. At this particular point you need to notice the print quality issues, indicating the cartridge genuinely needs to be changed.
Step2: Check for any further damage caused to Printer
It is a myth there is no chance of getting your Canon Printer damage. Although continue use of the empty cartridge does put strain on the print-head and can cause damage. As this range of printers dispenses ink directly from the cartridge to the paper thanks to the print-head built into each black/color ink cartridge. In the very worst condition the print-head may burn out with extended use, but if you replace the continually used cartridge soon the cartridge can still be used again once after refilled.

My Kodak easy share 5300 won't print black. I have clean the head and still have the problem.

Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:

The print cartridge carrier stopped in the middle of a print job due to obstruction. Remove any objects blocking the carrier path.

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Open the front cover.

Flashing orange arrow . cant get anything to print

Try taking out the print cartridges and then putting them back in and make sure they are really well inserted when you replace them. Then slam the lid down to really make sure its shut and it should resolve the problem.

Cant print black or do black and white copies

He's not saying that the black cartridge won't print (which would warrant cleaning the heads, or messing with the cartridges) -- I have the same problem that MarkDan is having as well... no matter what you select as the output from any "Print" dialog window, the HP 21xx and 12xx series printers _always_ print in full color. You can choose Black and White, Greyscale, Color -- doesn't matter what you choose in the dialog boxes, it utterly ignores you, and will always print in color.
I have no idea why it does this, but it's eating a _ton_ of color ink for no good reason. I have searched all over the Web and on HP's site, but solution has been found.
