Has one code po507, won't reset, won't start, but it will run, if I spray starting fluid in the air box

Drain carburetor bowl and try again. The engine will not run if the bowl is full of water. If it works try and figure out where the water came from (check fuel containers).

Check the anti-afterfire solenoid is functioning. This is the solenoid at the bottom (or side) of the fuel bowl.

It is safe to use starting fluid sparingly. A simple short <1 second burst into the carburetor throat is all that is needed. Where people get into trouble is they spray a few seconds and saturate intake with fluid and it pools inside a cylinder.

Well it’s either fuel or electrical. First off it does have gas in it hopefully. Even tho the gauge may say it does sometimes the gauges quit working right so let’s make sure u have gas first. Next if u do have gas, pop open your air filter compartment and have someone turn the car over and spray some starting fluid down the airfilter tube. If it starts for a second then your not getting gas. If that’s the case, I’d check the fuel pump relay first. It’s in the fuse box under hood usually. There’s usually another delay in the fuse box that’s the same so just swap places with one and try to start it. If it starts u need a new fuel pump relay. If it doesn’t then I’d have to check to make sure the fuel filter isn’t clogged up. If it’s not, then it’s probably gonna be your fuel pump. If the starting fluid doesn’t nothing then it’s gonna be electrical, in which it could be numerous things. If the service engine light is on, read the code and see what code it’s throwing. I’d look at the crank shaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor probably first assuming your computer (ecm) is good.

After sitting a long time
1. drain all gas as alchol in gas absorbs water BAD!!!
2 mix new gas + oil correctly and fill tank
3 spray starting fluid in carb.
4 put full choke
5 set throttle
6 pull till engine pops
7 place choke to half choke and pull a few times to start
8 repeat steps 3 to 8 until running

Other problems are bad gas lines
problem with spark

Bottom line the engine should at least burn off the starting fluid
if it continues to stop the carb is going to be cleaned

Clean or change air filter. Clean, gap or change spark plug. Empty gas tank add fresh gas with Stabil. When spark plug is removed pull rope several times to blow out cylinder. Spray starter fluid in spark plug hole before replacing spark plug. Clean outside of carb so choke works freely. Spray starter fluid into carb breather hole with air filter removed and try to start. if running replace air filter and cover. If no start disassemble carb and clean. If no start replace carb.

Are you pulling the plug to check for wetness after cranking it a few times, WITHOUT using the starting fluid? Also, I would recommend using carb cleaner in place of the starting fluid. Starting fluid runs the engine VERY hot for a brief time and can possibly damage rings, valves, and aluminum parts.

Spray Ether (Starting Fluid with Upper Lubrication) into the Air Box and pull, the sled will start and the vacuum will get the gas into the lines. Quick sprays to keep it running as it starts to die, then squirt again..

if the check engine light is on then there is a code set in the ecm(computer) that you need to have pulled and diagnoised.if your spraying starter fluid and it starts then you have a fuel delivery problem,could it be out of gas,plugged fuel filter,bad fuel pump,injectors not being comanded to open by the ecm.this should help to get it running,

Either that season's gas dried in the carburetor affecting it's operation or you are drawing air through a fuel seal somewhere. Both are common with this model. Sometimes will start from cold and run up to half speed until you take the choke off. Then it just dies from not drawing gas. Status proved if it revs up if sprayed with short blip of ether from 7" away at the moment it dies. Do not try to keep it running on ether more than a minute. Like pure gas, it'll burn up the engine or worst. Do not use ether if the air is not moving. Ether may collect and explode.

Spray some starting fluid in the air box and try to start it.
If it starts to run it is fuel related.change the gas in the tank and clean the carbs.Always add stable to your gas every tank full. It will coat the inside of the carbs and help to stop gumming.

Drain all the old gas (if it's a small amount, you can throw it into your car's nearly-full gas tank even if it's mixed with oil.) add fresh gas. you may need to try to start it several times to give the new gas a chance to work it's way to the engine.

If this doesn't work, then try starting fluid (ether in a spray can) find the air intake and remove the filter sponge. Spray the starting fluid into the air intake and try to start it. If you don't have starting fluid, you can use WD-40.

DON'T SPRAY WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING!

Even if the engine beigns to sputter out - just let it stop and then spray more ether before starting again.

If neither of these work, then you should replace the sprak plug. If the engine started with ether, but won't stay running, then you should check the fuel line or fuel filter for blockage.
