How do I adjust the door so it doesn't drop down to the floor when I open it to take food out?

I would strongly consider replacing the microwave oven, prices have dropped considerably. The problem you are describing is in the keypad controller board.

Door will not open due o water in the machine .drain it Manully drop down hose to floor level with a bucket it should drain due to Gravity,this will now allow door to open next remove check/clean filter pump....

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

it is possible that the floor under the adjusting bolt has dropped,place a carpet protector cup under all the feet and then, using a level, make sure the unit sits square,the door may need some adjustment after this but you will see, that is a simple task.

Put the down force adjustment back where it was as it affects the safety reversing. If the main light flashes 10 times when you try to close the door it is a door sensor problem. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit if necessary. It could be an electronic component that is sensitive to cold and quits when the temperature drops. This is not uncommon.

push the light switch in and see if light goes out,if not change the light switch,if it goes out check to see if door has dropped down,sometime the door cam or hindge problem drops the door down and can't hit the light switch to shut it off,i've seen 40 watt light bulbs deform the plastic on the door and the floor of the fridge so take out the bulb for now,

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, there is no adjustment. More than likely the door pivot and/or hinges are worn. They can easily be replaced, however. The part numbers are as follows:

Door Pivot - 8184922
Upper Door Hinge - W10114255
Lower Door Hinge - W10114254

its possible that ice is jamed in the ice crusher compartment this happens to me as well the ice drops down to fast causing it to clog and then stays open until it all of a sudden you pick it up on the floor thanks from gilles

Your question is: The door springs seem fine but when we open the door and wheel out the lower dish rack, the door drops further and the rack rolls down to the floor. Reading other postings, it seems like a good name for this is a broken "door catcher." How can I fix this?

You may need a sevice tech for this. The 'door catchers' on the sides of the unit can only be accessed after removing. Not a job for the inexperienced.
