Bootmgr is compressed and press ctri+alt+del to restart

Whenever i start my laptop i find on the top left corner of the screen bootmgr is compressed
press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart,i am using vista ultimate
but when i press Ctrl+Alt+Del after it i find again & again same problem.
Please send me a solution for this problem as soon as possible.

Try booting to your Vista installation CD. Choose Repair. Select your operating system, should bethe only one. It will repair the BOOTMGR.

I have an Amilo Pro V2035 and when switching on it only display 'BootMGR compressed.' I'v tried to press Ctrl+Alt+Del but nothing has changed. Pliz help me how I can restart the Laptop.

press F12 for boot manager before the screen displays bootmgr compressed.. Sounds like your hard drive may have developed a problem. When you press f12 you should get some startup options.insert your OS CD
go to DOS window and type in your OS drive (usualy C:\)
type in bootrec /FixMbr
then type in bootrec /fixboot
then type in bootrec /rebuildbcd
then type in exit
restart your computer

BOOTMGR is compressed in Dell Vostro 1014

Boot with a Win 7 disc, and choose Repair Your Computer. Then use Startup Repair option. Type bootrec /fixboot ENTER if end up at the command prompt. It does the same thing.

Boot manager compressed dell inspiron e1505

you may have trouble sorting this with out the disc.Here are the steps to replace the BOOTMGR:
  1. Boot from the Windows install disc.
  2. Click on Repair your computer after selecting proper language, time and keyboard input.
  3. Select the Windows installation drive, which is usually C:\ , and click Next.
  4. Choose "Command Prompt" when the System Recovery Options box appears.

Cannot restart laptop

"Boot with the Vista DVD, when it enters Setup hit your SHIFT-F10 keys Setup will run "cmd", and drops you to a command prompt that is running with SYSTEM privileges.

Then at the command prompt type the following (hitting <enter>) after each line.:

attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
del bootmgr
ren temp bootmgr
attrib bootmgr -a +s +r +h
"

Bootmgr is compressed press ctrl alt del to restart problem

(1) Can go to repalce the same Bootmgr from the recovery partition .
(2) Can go ahead and repace the Boot.mgr file from the boot disk ... Follow the below steps
>> put in the bootable disk
>> go to the repair your computer
>> click on the load driver
>> use the mini Windows Explorer to right-click the boot-drive and deselect “Compress this Drive” and choose Apply to sub-folders and files.
>> restart the computer .
Try the solution, it should work.

BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

first u go to bios settings and change first bootdevice cdrom and reboot system u put winxp cd in cd drive

u will see this message


press any key to boot from cd


u press any key


winxp setup start automatically



and repair winxp



som case hardisk partition probelm , that case u will format drive and re install winxp
