TRANSAXLE COOLING
The
fan and cooling fins of transmission should be kept
clean to assure proper cooling.
Do not attempt to clean fan or transmission while engine is
running or while the transmission is hot. To prevent
possible damage to seals, no not use high pressure water
or steam to clean transaxle.
, Inspect cooling fan to be sure fan blades are intact and
clean.
o inspect cooling fins for dirt, grass clippings and other
materials° To prevent damage to seals, do not use
compressed air or high pressure sprayer.
TRANSAXLE PUMP FLUID
The transaxle was sealed at the factory and fluid maintenance
is not required for the life of the transaxle. Should
the transaxle ever leak or require servicing, contact your
nearest authorized service center/department.

Should i change trans fluid 100kslightly brown added lil seafoam trans fixc

Most vehicle manufacturers recommend that you change your transmission fluid every 15,000 miles, Refer to your owners manual to tell you the service interval. If your trans fluid is slightly brown (and probably has a bit of a smell to go with it) i would recommend replacing the trans fluid, the trans filter and the trans filter o-ring (where the trans filter hooks to the valve body.)

What type fluid for auto trans?

Mine is a closed system and does not ever need changing so they say. I have the 20 hp Briggs and Stratton with the 42 inch deck. I would imagine it is the same engine but the CA model loses 2.5hp because of emission restrictions.

Seems as if the cable is sticking causing the transmition not to shift until high rpm

What model Jeep? This is normally caused by the filter not flowing fluid correctly. A fluid and FILTER change will solve the problem 99% of the time. Do not do the "Trans Flush" at the quick lube. They do not change the filter.

I have a 1995 ford explorer, lately it seems as if the trans is pulling, but when the gas is lightly pressed it seems to shift correctly what do u think the problem could be.

First thing I would do is change trans fluid and filter if trans is acting out of the "norm". On cars, trans fluid and filter should be changed every 50k, on trucks and vehicles that do frequent towing, trans fluid should be done every 30k. (I'm assuming this is an automatic trans - you didn't mention)

Driving a 2003 Ford windstar. Went to pass and

Very common on this make and model trans, pump drive splines inside torque converter strip out and pump is not turning, Most times there is no damage to pump shaft. Remove trans and remove torque converter, inspect the splines at the very bottom of the hub hole. If stripped out inspected pump shaft splines which are the smaller center splines coming out of trans, if ok replace torque converter and re-install trans, change out fluid, clean any metal from magnet and replace filter, fill with fluid and verify proper operation.

Craftsman lawn tractor model 917.270821 ( Auto trans)

Check the fluid level in the transmission. If the fluid level is low, the trans will act as if it's slipping.

Trans downshifts with gas tap

If the trans has a whine and shifts a little hard then you need to take if to a service center and have the trans flush and filter changed this might correct the problem. But if you have never had the trans fluid change and have 100,000 on it trans might be going bad. Trans fluid and filter should be changed every 40,000 miles.

Was the wrong trans fluid used

Merc V is correct, i would recomend motocraft, but castrol should be just fine. i would check to see that you didn't double gasket the filter, some times they can be a pai to get out.
