How do i turn off the text to speech feature? It has been accidentally turn ed on 3 times. can't get to settings to turn off.

Step 1
Swipe the Status bar at the top of the screen towards the bottom of the screen to display the Quick Settings menu, and then tap "More." To open the Quick Settings menu in Explore by Touch mode, use two fingers to swipe down the Status bar.
Step 2
Tap "Accessibility" to view all settings related to accessibility. Locate the Text-to-Speech and Voice Guide options in the menu.
Step 3
Turn off the "Text-to-Speech" and "Voice Guide" options to disable the voice capabilities of your Kindle Fire HD.

The keyboard on my ONN android tablet is not working. I’m only able to use google voice. I went to setting and the tab for me to switch google voice is grayed out. Nothing seems to be working.

Go to the Google Play Store. Speak "keyboard" in the search. You should see an app for Google Keyboard 2-3 down. Make sure it is enabled. Once enabled you will be able to turn off Google Speech.

How do I get the voice activation to go away? it only wants to tell me what button I am pushing and wont go where I want. please help me make the voice be quiet before I lose my mind!

Go to your accessibility settings menu on your kindle..
1) Tap and hold the top bar on the screen and then pull the bar downward to view the settings menu.
2) Tap more , to view additional settings.
3) Tap the accessibility option to open the access menu.
4) Slide the text to speech to off.
5) Slide the voice control to off.
6) Tap the back arrow to save your settings and to close nenu.

How to get my tablet working? it's on speach back for blind person. screen not opperating when i touch

Here are some fixes:
1. System Settings ' Language and input ' Speech ' Text-to-speech output and turned off "Driving Mode".
2. settings > accessibility > installation of webscripts (turn it off)
3. Setting >Accessibility >Enhance web Accessibility put if on "do not allow"

How do i turn read to me on

Here are the shortcuts:
  1. Shift+Sym – start and to stop TTS (Text To Speech or Read To Me in Kindle 2). You have to keep Shift pressed down and then press Sym.
  2. While TTS (Text To Speech or Read To Me in Kindle 2) is on – Use Shift button to Pause or Resume it. Note: this might be Space (spacebar).
  3. While TTS (Text To Speech or Read To Me in Kindle 2) is on – you can switch between male and female voices, and change voice speed by using Alt + Aa keys and then using the 5 way controller.
  4. To start TTS (Text To Speech or Read To Me in Kindle 2) at a particular place on a page, move the cursor to the spot BEFORE starting TTS.
