Hello I was working on Zebra LP2844 label printers. I need to print labels and barcodes from a data source using EPL.I have never done this things before so any help is appriciated

You may have a problem with the active protocol in the printer.
Check if it is epl or zpl

is using the same driver?

Update the printer firmware, download latest printer driver from zebra website.

OS X 10.5.2 and above have built-in ZPL and EPL drivers. Plug the printer in to USB, go to System Preferences > Print & Fax, click + , and choose the Zebra driver. For the LP2844 you choose the EPL2 driver.

Added ''3 of 9' font to C:/Windows/Fonts.
Opened Word document, selected 3 of 9 as Font and typed a word.

Went back to printer and it printer the accession number and barcode.

Try to use this driver in www.seagullscientific.com, it is better that zebra driver.

The printer has firmware TLP2844-Z Zebra. This printer uses ZPL commands and not epl. ZebraDesigner can print to a file and have a format command.

We've been having problems with ours. Make sure that the properties are correctly set, landscape, portrait, 180' rotation, label size, on the printer properties. Then check again through whatever package you are using 'printer properties' and try a print. You may have to re-enter properties each time you print.
