E31 error on zanussi ZWD 16270w1

Sounds like a slow drain problem.
It would be suggested to check the drain hose, the filter and pump, and maybe replace the pressure switch if that does not work.
Sequence:
1. open up the filter and clean it
2. check the drain hose, and let it drain out freely into a bucket
3. run the machine without clothing to see if it starts working again
4. check if the pump runs
5. replace the pump line pressure switch.
If it still does not work, consider buying another machine, since the cost of the logic board is significant. (maybe the machine is old enough and needs to be replaced)

Washing machine drain problem

Here's a few instruction's How to Diagnose Washing Machine Problems

Step 1:
If the washer won't start, check the power cord or reset the circuit breaker depending on the issue. It may be overheated and shut off temporarily. Let it cool for 30 minutes, and if it still won't start, call a professional.

Step 2:
If the motor transmission failed or the drive belt has broken, these need the assistance of a professional.

Step 3:
If the washer won't drain, clean out the drain hose and straighten any kinks. If the drain hose fits too tightly in the standpipe, adjust it to allow for a minimum of 1.25 inches for airflow so water can drain.

Step 4:
If the washer won't fill or fills slowly, turn the faucet handles counterclockwise as far as possible. This is usually the result of partially open faucets.

Step 5:
Call a profession if the washer overfills. This means the water-inlet valve or switch is defective.

E31 error code on electrolux washing machine

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are receiving an E31 error code on your Electrolux washer, model# EW1000i. In researching the model number you provided, I show that this was manufactured in the UK. For North American washers, I would suggest resetting you appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. You can try this, and if it does not work, I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly, for further assistance. They should be able to tell you what the E31 means, as well as assist in clearing it. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

E31

Hello Stephanie - If you are receiving error code E31, first check if it is a false error code by resetting the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, it could potentially mean a number of things: a pressure sensor issue, defective wiring, valve assembly problem and/or control board issue. I would strongly recommend connecting with an expert technician to assist further.

Maytag Neptune washer machine won't spin or fully drain

    • 1 Open your home's breaker box and flip the circuit breaker switch to "On." If it is already set to "On," flip it to "Off" and then back to "On" to reset it. A power surge may have interrupted your wash cycle so the drain/spin cycle never actually started.
    • 2 Move the washer away from the wall and straighten the drain hose if it is twisted or turned in a way that makes it difficult for water to flow through it. Replace a kinked hose with a new hose.
    • Sponsored Links
    • 3 Push on the washer door to make sure it is fully closed. The washer will not drain or spin unless the door is closed tight. Press the "Start/Pause" button after you close the door.
    • 4 Wait for about 30 seconds after you press "Start/Pause." The washer will not operate until it has been able to fully lock the door and restart the drain process.
    • 5 Run the clothes through a complete cycle again, making sure you use cold water if there are a lot of suds in the washer. Too much soap in the washer can make it hard to drain. Use high-efficiency or low-sudsing detergents on subsequent uses.

CHANGE DRAIN PUMP WASHER

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Belt, Water Pump If the washer won't drain the pump belt might have broken or might have worn out. Check the belt and replace if it shows signs of excessive wear.

Clogged Pump or Hose If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing. Keep in mind that any water in the washer will pour out of the hoses when removed.

Drain Pump If the washer won't drain water the drain pump might be defective. It's also common for a small sock or other article of clothing to get caught in the drain pump or in the drain hose. Check both for an obstruction before replacing the pump.

Drive Belt If the washer won't drain, should check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't drain properly, if at all.

Lid Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Drain Hose If the washer won't drain water check the drain hose. Be sure the hose did not get kinked behind the washer. Also, remove the hose from the pump and check it for obstructions.

Coin Trap If the washer won't drain the coin trap may be clogged. This washer is equipped with a device near the water pump called a coin trap. The purpose of this device is to trap any foreign materials that make their way down the drain. Normally, the coin trap can be accessed through an access panel. It is designed with the homeowner in mind and is normally easy to clean out.

Error Code E31

Troubleshoting for washing machines and other appliances are usually easilly found and sometimes just as easilly fixed what my first step would be is doing a google search for this exact thing... what does error code E31 for (your washing machine brand) washing machines.. and take a look thru responses... this is why we get told to hold onto the operating manual although this isn't easy if we've had the same machine for years on end and moved houses a couple of times... my personal experience has usually ended up being a n off balance issue I've only had one other washing machine that had a similar sort of problem and there was something wrong with the mechanical workings underneath and it didn't give me an error code as it was an old old washing machine... when you have a user guide to your washing machine it shows you the different error codes and my guess is they'll have these on google and more often than not it's an easy fix(although I said all this earlier) so I would like to wish you luck in your endevours and hope that my answers helpsget you an answer :)

My front load Kenmore washer has a f03 code on the screen. It is not draining the water and it is not doing a max spin. What do you think I need to do?

F03 error code means that there is either fill problem, a drain problem or a water level pressure switch failure .

First ensure the machine is filling.
When the drain system is causing the F03 error do the following.

Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged.

If the drain hose is OK check the drain pump.

Start unplugging washer from main and remove the service panel at the bottom.

Follow the instructions on manual to remove panel.

Access the water pump and remove the hoses, clear any blockage in there.

Use a container to collect the water, be prepared. If machine has lot of water inside, remove some water with a sponge before undoing the pump.
