How do I play videos?

Take the card out and download to PC with an USB card reader or use an USB cable from camera to PC.

The VX2100 is quite a complicated camera and can be easily damaged during disassembly. I don't know of any setting that would cause this to happen but you can try resetting the camera functions pressing the rest button to see if this goes away. Otherwise the camera should be repaired by a qualified technician.

I would guess that these photos have been deleted, but more often than not, these can be recovered using photo recovery software. I believe you need professional-level software to help with this, but I will leave it to you to decide.

select the video and press menu and then press play video. thats how it is with my camera, im not very familiar with your camera model.

When you play the video back and get no sound are you doing this on your camera or on the computer? I have the same camera, and noticed that when I playback something I've recorded I don't have sound either, mind you I don't have static either. But once I've uploaded the video onto my pc the sound is there.

Keep it simple- download vlc player which plays EVERYTHING. Plug in your camera to usb - start player - direct to usb device and play back.
That file you are looking for should be in your programs directory.

Try to run cleaning tape, it may solve your problem.
