Generally there are two reasons for no backlight in LED TVs. Either it is the inverter which produces necessary power to drive the backlight stops working or some of the LEDs in the backlight array fail. In some TVs even one failed LED will cause no backlight.

Can you see your screen when you hold a flashlight to it? If so then it may be an issue with the power inverter. I have the same issue on my laptop. Unfortunately It is hard to find the proper Inverter online. Hope this helps!

Related to a capacitor blowing up on your powersupply that supplies the voltage for the backlight inverter. The backlight inverter lights the tv. The power supply will need to be repaired so it can supply the 24v needed for the backlight inverter to work properly.

I think what your monitor is experiencing right now is because of the backlight inverter in your lcd monitor is about to give up...The backlight inverter is a cold cathode light thats responsible for the image in your screen.. if the lights located on the upper and lower edge of the monitor will be busted then what you will see is black screen.. You will need to replace that in your monitor.

However, without the proper skills to do that and proper tools to open the monitor.. it will be risky for the safety of your monitor..

I suggest that you bring your monitor to a credible technician to replace busted backlight or (burned high voltage ballast transformer - supplying current to backlight)

most likely:

1. backlight is dead (search for replacement displays).

2. backlight power-inverter is dead (check ebay for your model +inverter to see if there is even one in your model)

3. (very unlikely) wires which power the backlight may be worn from bending over time.

for the time-being, connect an external monitor, if possible, so you can access your system. connect it, power-on, and it should work by default -if not, hold the Fn key and press F8 (usually this key) to enable external display output.

1)the backlight is not working because there is some loose contact inside the board is not fitted properly... or may be it is misplaced due to some accidents like falling on the ground something like that...........
if you are good at opening cell phones then just refit it .. this solves the backlight problem....
if not just take ur cell to technician....

2)after you refitting this problem may also get solved.....

but there is one more instance...
3) may be the operating system software has got corrupted..
& some files which are needed 4 operating have became unstable this is may be due to the virus attack...
the virus attack may be due to transfer of datas like songs etc from pc or from the other cell via bluetooth...

so just visit technician and give it for flashing.... (means installing new software)
