Why won't my rider move and keep running?

have u checked if shut off switch loose from use bouncing around?

Would check the pto safety switch look at your parts diagram to find it. If u don't have one search internet for one.

That is the symptom of a failing ignition module. With the airbox cover and air filter removed run the unit till it fails. Immediately squirt a shot of carb cleaner into the carb and try to restart. If it restarts see if you can keep it running on the carb cleaner for a few seconds. If it wont restart or stay running then its likely an ignition module. If it does restart and keeps running on hte prime then you have a fuel issue.
Other things to check: spark plugs can fail when they get hot, checkt o make sure the engine stop cable is pulling the bail off ground sufficiently. If the cable has stretched it may not pull the bail completely off ground causing intermitent spark.

Check for oil filters on the wheel drives, Try replacing.

Hi, the hydrostatic drive is most likely over heating. Remove the battery and battery carrier, from here you can clean all grass and debris from the hydro cooling fins and fan. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

First inspect all the steering parts. Inspect them closely and see if anything is worn to the point it is binding. Lubricate all moving parts. See if anything is bent or rubbing against another part. It is obvious it is only hard to steer when weight is on the front. That is a clue to what is going on. It is just a matter of looking very closely at what moves and what can cause something to no move as it should.

were you mowing at the time? if you didn't disengage the blades, the engine will not start, everything will seem "dead". if that's not it, check for a blown fuse

you say stopped running steering locked up the steering lock is mechanical and has nothing to do with the actually running of the engine so i am presumming that the car was idling stalled on its own and the steering as you tried to restart it locked or the steering won,t turn it won,t if the engine s not running as it is helped by the power steering pump which doesn,t work unless then engines running but if the steering has just locked up then you won,t be able to turn the steering in which case you,ll need a new steering lock not that big a job yates210456
