Cant get boot menu

Note: You will see no visual response when you type in your newly selected password; however, the computer still will register the input. Press "Enter." You will be asked to retype your password. Re-enter the same password and press "Enter." Your password is now reset. Type "Exit" to return to the boot menu and select "Resume Normal Boot" to restart Ubuntu.

If you cant remove the virus you have got, its often because your drive has been infected to a degree where qiping it for virus's is futile.
If thats the case, format your drive by booting your pc up with a windows install dvd in the drive, selecting the option to format C-drive before installing new operating system on the unit.

Most likely you Boot-section of your harddrive has been infected and therefore, everytime you boot your pc the virus loads as the first thing during start up of windows and drivers and so forth.

Please check your menu key and see if it is stuck. For your phone to boot into safe mode, the menu key needs to be held at power on, so if after turning it off and doing a factory reset you are still in safe mode, then your menu key stuck. I have heard of the g1 having issues with the menu key getting stuck and a replacement is needed. How old is your phone? Are you still under warranty with tmobile? Open up the command line as an administrator or user w/admin rights (right click on the Shorcut > Run As and lets you run as an admin if your on a non-admin account)

to change the default boot os to 7 from xp use the command
bcdedit /set {ntldr} default “{bootmgr}” in the command prompt ,restart and then check .

Use a bootable cd. do the format from that menu. alternatively, use third party bootable softwares to format the hdd.

1. Turn on your computer, and hold down delete.
2. In the BIOS window, look for the Boot Menu option.
3. Choose the QUICK BOOT to turn off memory test
.4. Make sure the hard drive comes first in the BOOT ORDER.
5. Turn off any logo displays.
6. Restart

Do 2

1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type msconfig
4. In the system configuration utility,click either BOOT tab.
5.In the boot menu, change the default setting for Time Out from 30 to 5 seconds.

Do 3

1. Click the Start button.
2. In the Start Search bar, type control userpasswords2
3. Load the User Accounts window
4. Uncheck User must enter user name passwords...
5. Click Apply

1.Click Start button and load the Control Panel
2. Under the Control Panel menu, click Programs.
3. Under the Windows Defender heading choose View currently running programs
4. Choose Startup Programs from the Category option
5. Remove Programs that you feel unnecessary for startup

How to disable this indexing service
1. Click on Start
2. Click Run
3. Type services.msc
4. Select Indexing Service and Double click on it.
Select Manual under Startup Type.
5. Click Stop
6. Click OK

if u can get into the boot menu then its a computer problem if u cant get into the boot menu there is something rong with the boot up take the computer to a shop and they should sort the boot problem cheap hope this helps
