Why Wont it let me set up voicemail?

contact your carrier (like vodaphone)..they will help u with the voicemail number

If your number was changed then you will need to have a master reset on your phone which will take your phone back to factory settings then you will need to reprogram your phone with the right phone number. You should always make sure through your cellphone company that they have the correct phone number listed.

Once you call your voicemail service, you'll be taken thru step by step instructions to set up your voicemail.
To call your voicemail service

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone.
2. Touch and hold down 1.

If this does not work, you need to set up your voicemail number. Your subscription includes an answering service, callers can leave a voicemail message when you cannot answer a call. Usually, the voicemail number is saved on the SIM card. If not, contact your service provider to get your voicemail number. You can then enter the number manually.
To enter your voicemail number

1. From the Home screen, tap .
2. Find and tap Settings > Call settings > Voicemail settings.
3. Enter your voicemail number.
4. Tap OK.

Call your service provider and they can reset your passcode for you! :) Voila! That or try the last 4 or 7 digits of your phone number.

This isn't in the phone. It's in your voicemail preferences. Listen to all options in your voicemail settings. Just keep listening for an option number for settings after it tells you that you do or dont have messages. If you dont find something fairly obvious call *611 and tech support should be able to talk you through it. Call from a phone other than the razr.
