SOURCE: My iriver T10 is not being detected

That happend to me and i found a solution. First go to my computer and on your left click on VIEW SYSTEM INFORMATION then go to HARDWARE now click in DEVICE MANAGER it should say T10 around there look for T10 or IRIVER T10 and click on it press in UPDATE THIS TIME ONLY or an option you like and click next then click on the RECOMENDED OPTION to install the iriver t10 after you do that a magnifying glass should appear and wait and it would install saying MTP.
If still need help send me a message at [email protected]

Somehow the driver went missing. Click on "My Computer" and then click "view system information," then "hardware," then "device manager," then click on iRiver (it'll be there even without the driver) and then it will give you a yes/no option to look for driver software. Obviously, click "yes" but notice that you are also cued to put in a CD "if you have one." I still had the CD. It will search both the CD and online for a driver, but the computer found the driver software on the CD. Make sure you only put the CD in when cued to do so. If you don't have the CD, then contact iRiver about getting a driver download or having them send you a copy of the CD.

SOURCE: iRiver H340 firmware

with the hex file hold the navi button for a few seconds; you get four options select the general one then you will see an upgrade firmware option. select this the hex file on your player is your firmware it will then go through the upgrade process. don't touch while this is happening. it will turn off when done. then thats it. Be careful the version v1.30 will get rid of the video option go with v1.29 or less

Window XP does not recognize my H340 after battery change.

H340 should show as a removable disk drive. Ensure it is formatted as Fat32, run chkdsk, or scandisk. Does the H340 boot into play mode? you did not say. I replaced my battery with no problems... so if it boots Ok it is a non-related fault.

H340 i river

Horizontal lightning blot = OK = the battery is already fully charged

Vertical lightning blot = enough power for charging not getting to player - your USB port may be less than 2.0, or may be malfunctioning for some reason - try a different uSB port first - if still the same result, go into the Device Manager and make sure there is not a yellow exclamation mark by the USB port.

Use the wall charger if it will no longer charge via USB.

Iriver H340 motherboard?

Hi , the price of the motherboard you might as well buy a newe Iriver mate , but if you wanted you might be able to salvage one from a broken I river on an auction site since replacements are not readily avalible for the public .. and as for complexity ,
it shouldnt be too hard but technician to preform the repair job would save alot of hastle in the long run.

Iriver h340

Have you tried a program such as drive rescue (I got a portable version (for PC)from portablefreeware.com)
Likewise roadkill's unstoppable copier(google it, sorry no link) I don't know of Mac equivalents.

From memory the hard drive is a 1.8" Toshiba drive. If this is the case, you can get a USB enclosure to plug it into. (I got one on eBay for a similar situation with a faulty X-drive) You will need to pull the h340 apart before you buy it because there are a couple of pin configurations for 1.8 in drives. If you have to resort to cracking it open there was a video on youtube (I think) showing you how.

MisticRiver For iriver Enthusiasts would have more detail, I am going from memory and has been a long time.

Cannot access files on h340

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
