I have a gmc275pd, and need to remove door to replace the inner glass. can't figure out how to remove the door, there doesnt seem to be a locking latch that others describe on the internet.

Open the door look at the hinge where it goes into the receiver you should see a small hole place a small short screw in the hole each side now close the door slowly hold the door while closing you should feel the hinges release out of the receivers, to take the door apart you are going to have to remove these screws to do this take the box end of a wrench pull the hinge back to take pressure off screw remove screw

Any one know an easier way to dismantle the hinge circled in the image as the external door handle spring has tripped and I want to put it back. Help anyone! !!!

I HAD THAT HAPPEN TO ME ON MY OVEN & IT WAS A REAL PAIN TO GET IT BACK ON. I HAD TO USE A LONG SCREW DRIVER TO HOLD THE LATCH WHILE I LINED UP THE DOOR TO PUT BACK ON. LOOKS LIKE FROM THE PICTURE THAT THERE IS A BOLT THAT YOU CAN TAKE OFF THE LATCH, THEN PUT THE OVEN DOOR INTO PLACE THEN PUT THE BOLT BACK ON. IT MAY TAKE 2 PEOPLE TO DO THIS.

Ignis AKL828 door hinges locked in shut position... door off oven!

Take a pair of pliers and pull the hinge out of the socket. This will take care of it. After doing this, then simply set te door back in place and shut.

How do I take the glas front off of the oven door to clean it?

if you get the door off the rest is pretty easy. usually just a few srews on top will let you take handle and vent on door off. shouldnt have to take anything loose from bottom. easiest to take door off. but some doors are a problem to get back on. can be done with it on if you figure a good way to prop the ranges door open.

THE GLASS ON MY OVEN DOOR IS STREAKED. CLEANER/CONDENSATION HAS GOTTEN UNDERNEATH GLASS. DRIVES ME CRAZY LOOKING STREAKED. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS

usually there is some way to take either the handle off of the door, or take the door apart from the inside and you can seperate the parts of the door and remove the glass and clean it and replace everything back.

Can't get the oven door back on. it was sitting

As you said they are spring loaded so be careful. You will need to pull on the hinge, which takes some muscle and you should see a small hole to put a pin or small screwdriver in to hold the hinge out. When this is in place on both the hinges you can put the door back on. This is the most common hinge style on Wpl or there may be tabs on the tops of the hinges to hold the hinge out. If the door still does not close all the way after getting the hinges all the way on you will need to take the door apart and replace the hinge/spring assy. Thanks for rating me after you read this.
