SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer F1 Error

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer won't aggitate

My Whirlpool WTW6600 had the same problem. The tub no longer floated up and down on the center shaft, so it only spun, not agitated. You must remove the tub (with some effort) and lightly sand / clean the center shaft. Lube it lightly with wheel bearing grease so that after it is reassembled, you can pull the tub upward and feel about 1/2" movement. This will enable the proper gear assembly to engage. It can spin when it rests at the bottom of its travel, but once you fill the tub, it floats, moving upward, and engaging the agitation gear. Good Luck!

Whirlpool cabrio washer, I try to start a load by pushing the start button, the lid lock clicks shut like normal but then the light starts blinking and the washer wont run.

If it's the lid locking light that's flashing, then the Lid Latch assembly needs to be replaced. It's latching, but the switch inside it isn't working and doesn't recognize that it's latched.
They have the part and a video on how to fix it at this parts company.

Lid will not lock, Washer will not start: I press

There might be the issue of the lock as the control board tries to send signal to close the lock but it can not. This is common issue with the lock more than the control board.

The load finished on my whirlpool cabrio washer (topload) but the machine won't unlock the lid?

you need to replace the lid lock. the latch probably broke in 2, and the broken part is whats keeping the lid closed. if you have clothes inside you can open the top by using a putty knife to release the front clips holding the top of the machine down. push each clip in and lift up. you will also be able to access the lid lock this way.

Lid will not lock when you press start, so washer will not turn on. Everything seems fine otherwise but washer will not start if lid not secured

You have a bad lid safety switch or bad lock, one or both will need to be replaced to restore it to working condition.
