The washer continues to fill until it flood out

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF6000ES, continues to fill with water until it floods out. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When power has been restored, select any cycle and start it. If your washer is still overfilling and flooding out, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing it to overfill and flood. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Code letters FL comes up and makes clicking sound

The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

What does E2 mean? Thanks

Hi, E2 means that anti flood device has been activated. The machine has overfilled.
Check in the base (under the bit you put the dishes in) to see if it's flooded. The causes for overfilling are blockages in the metering tank, blockages in the system hoses.
Drain the water out of the base and try the machine again. If it overfills you'll need to take the machine out, do a fair bit of dismantling to get at the hoses etc. to clear the blockages.

Overfilling fault

I believe the washer has had a flood type situation.there is normally a flood switch in the very bottom of the dishwasher right at the very floor,if water get into the bottom tray it floats a piece polystyrene foam wich triggers a little micro switch wich will run the pump continually & show Overfilling fault at the same time..The water in the tray needs to be mopped out with a rag or spunge so that the styrene foam can drop back down. The blockage you had may have caused this flood situation some how.The overfill fault was probably due to the washer not pumping out,So that may be ok now that you have cleared the blockage.hope this helped.

OVERFILLED AND FLOODED HOUSE

1 of two problems happened.
1) either the water level sensor went bad. Which tells the water inlet valve when to shut off and the machine to start operating.
2) The water inlet valve has failed. This comes from the water hose and fills the washing machine.

E2 error in smeg dishwasher

e2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

Pump continuing to run -Asko D3100

Micro switch was actually faulty, moisture had entered the switch and caused internal tracking and shorting out the micro switch ,making the pump run continually as it thought it was still in flood mode.
Flood appears to have been caused by a pin hole in the water fill hose in the base of the dishwasher, causing water to spray on the micro switch and eventually biuld up in the base of the machine.
