My 15 month Celcus LCD423D913FHD tv will not turn on. The standby light is lit and will flicker but will not power up the tv. What is the likely problem?

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

A-SV640 KEEP GOING TO PROTECT MODE

Hi, try powering up the unit with out any speaker connected if it still goes to PROTECT try factory reset if possible.
To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down VCR/DVR, press ON/STANDBY. "Clear" will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter standby mode.
If this does not fix your problem you should take your unit to service . :)

When power turn on tv goes in to standby mode when you press standby button on the remote control for split second the blue comes on then goes back to standby mode

Hi these pioneers are difficult to work on you are better off taking it to a technician you will save a lot of headaches trying to fix it. If you still want to do it the first thing I would suspect is teh siganl board.

You can get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

When I turn my amp on it stays on for one second and then goes into standby mode. I have unpluged it for five minutes and turned on again and no change.

It is possible that the amplifier is going into the Protect Mode as there are some errors in the board. The prime suspect can be the output section of the amplifer as it might be short therby comsuming higher current for the protection to activate.
Remvoe speakers to test, if not checck the output stages, disconnect power to confirm.

Unit is in protection mode

Disconnect all speakers from it, then turn it back on. If the unit is OK, it should come out of protection. Turn it off, then reconnect one speaker and power on, repeat until it goes into protection, then you know where the problem is. Now disconnect the speaker wire that caused the problem but this time at the speaker. Make sure your wires do not touch, then turn it back on. If it stays on, it's a speaker problem, if it shuts off it's a wire problem. If you still need more help, post a comment and I will help some more. Hope this helps

Receiver stays on standby mode

Receiver either just stuck or held or having problem in amplifier output area.
Try to unplug it from AC outlet for couple of minutes and replug back in and power up, if works, fine and if does not, take it to local repair shop as it might requires some parts replacement in amplifier out area.

"Protect" message

It is most likely an amplifier problem. I had this problem before. It went into "Protect" mode and shut down. When I turned it back on, my left channel speakers made a buzzing noise and did the same thing again. I got it diagnosed at an electronics repair shop and they found that the two STK amplifier IC's were bad. One is about $106 and the second one is about $78. I got it fixed for about $200 and works basically like new again.
