- or no cold water The water fills the wash tub too slowly The tub does not fill with enough water
  • Test the water level switch
  • Check that the drain hose is positioned roughly as high as the top of the inner tub
The water overflows the wash tub Water drains out during the wash or rinse cycle
  • Check the drain control lever
  • Test the drain control coils
  • Check the cam bar
  • Test the timer control
Wrong temperature of water is used
  • Water supply hoses may be reversed
  • Hot or cold water supply valve may be turned off
  • Water supply hose may be kinked
  • Check water inlet valve
Water drains out while it is filling
  • Check the drain hose, it should be at least as high as the top of the wash tub, about 38 inches.
  • The drain hose must sit loosely in the house drain. Do not seal the air gap around the drain hose or a siphon will occur.
  • Check the drain control lever
  • Test the drain control coils
  • Check the cam bar
Water drips into the wash tub when the washer is off Water does not drain out of the wash tub Water is leaking onto the ground

Drain:
  • Make sure the drain line is clear
  • Check the drain hose for a partial blockage
  • Inspect the water pump
Spin:
  • Test the lid switch
  • Test the timer control
  • Test the centrifugal switch
  • Test the water level switch
  • Inspect the motor coupler
  • Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
  • Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
  • Test the motor
  • Inspect the pulley
  • Test the transmission

Bosch dishwasher shx46a06uc-30

the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

Dishwasher stuck on drain cycle

Hello, If your dishwasher is stuck in the drain cycle there could be two reasons for the unit doing this. The first reason is you could have something clogged in the drain line or blocking the drain pumps impellar. If the unit is not able to empty the water out of the unit the drain pump will continue to try and empty the water. The second reason would be if you had a leak condition in which if you did have a leak the drain pump would continue trying to empty the unit to prevent the unit from leaking water outside of the unit. I would first remove where the drain line connects to your drain and inspect this area first if you do not find any blockages in this area you would have to de-install the unit from under the counter and check the oppisite end of the drain line to where it attaches to the drain pump itself. If you still found no blockages you would then remove and inspect the drain pump assuring that the impellar of the drain pump is spining and that there is nothing clogging the pump as well. If you have any further questions message me back. I await your reply
Thank you

Fills with water, drains, will not spin. sometimes will not fill

This is almost certainly the filter to the empty pump blocked. When you power up the machine, the first thing it does is make sure there is no water left over in the tub, if it can't evacuate any water it finds there, it won't go any further. Same on a spin, if after a set time the water hasn't emptied the empty cycle will stop but the spine cycle wont start because there is still water in the drum.

Locate and clean your empty pump filter.

CHECK THAT THE WATER IS ON TO THE UNIT, AND IF VOLTAGE IS AT WATER INLET VALVE. IF VOLTAGE THEN WATER SHOULD BE COMING IN EITHER BAD INLET VALVE OF CLOGGED SCREEN IF THERE IS VOLTAGE TO VALVE. NO VOLTAGE THEN CONNECTIONS OR TIMER WOULD BE NEXT.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display. Shut off the water
faucets to the inlet hoses if water continues to flow.

Indesit IDL 500 Pump noise when switched on not continuous, sounds like it is acting in surges, and the pre-wash indicator light flashes in time with the surges. Is this a fault, what is the solution?

this indicates that there is water in the base of the unit activating the safety float switch... usually a leak..or an overfill due to blocked filter
Power off & remove plug
1st port of call would be to drain the base by pulling forward and tipping back.. make sure you have large towels to hand...
Once drained power up again and put on quick wash...
if cycle completes verify no leak by tipping back again and no water should flow..
if there is a leak then the flashing would resume during cycle... and best get someone in to locate as there are a few possibilities...

I have a kenmore dishwasher. While it was in the

hi...
If the cycle doesn't complete, check these....
Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

if still it doesn't fix your problem then see whether any error codes are generated....
F1 Water heating fault, selected temperature not reached within 60 minutes · Incoming water temperature too cool
· Heating element burned out
· Thermostat defective F2 High water level · Plugged/Bad water pump
· Defective water inlet valve F3 Thermistor fault · Open thermistor
· Bad wiring to thermistor F4 Fault with water fill (only on machines with level-controlled fill)

Note: Lights blinking, pump running and controls dead indicates an over fill fault 1. Disconnect the power to the unit

2. Remove the lower access panels and check the tray under the dishwasher (you will probably find it is full of water)

3. Use a towel or a sponge to remove the water

4. There is a float that should stop the operation of the dishwasher and run the pump if water is in this tray. Check this pump to see if it is functional

5. Test the dishwasher

6. If there are no leaks from the dishwasher into the pan, check the drain hose under the sink

7. THE DRAIN HOSE MUST RUN UP TO THE TOP OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE COUNTERTOP THEN DOWN TO THE DRAIN. (If the hose is not set up like this, water from the sink drain will flow into the dishwasher and overfill the tray

*Faults may vary by model. Use this as a general guide.
i think these details would definitely help you.....thank you...

You probably have a leak, in the pump housing area below the unit, which is causing the drain pump to run continuously.
