The injector ground circuit must not be working. What causes the pulse is when the computer internally grounds the injector circuit, power is passed across the injector solenoid terminals. All the injector grounds are spliced together on each bank of engine, and run into the computer. So, injector power, but no pulsing would seem a computer malfunction as long as the ground wires are good. Did you check all the injectors for pulse with the noid light, or at least both sides of engine?
what vehicle? injector pulse controlled by computer. the computer recieves a pulse from crank angle sensor, or distributor pick up, etc. then controls injector pulse. Mass air flow on some vehicles determines spray pattern
1991 this make you OBD1 . You can access a code by jumping 2 terminals together. The injector pulse is from the PCM . If you have no pulse you need to troubleshoot for spark first . If you dont have spark do spark first then injector pulse comes on. If no injector pulse check fuse in engine junction box.Use a volt meter check grounds at PCM. If all else checks out good replace PCM. You may also want to check the TPS. If this sensor short out in the WOT position you also wont get injector pulse.SO disconnect the TPS. and recheck for injector pulse
sounds like u got no injector pulse comin from ecm.we need to pull ecm codes an review them ,possible camshaft sensors faulty they usually provide reference pulses to ecm for injector firing or pulse.without this pulse ur injectors will never open up to let fuel enter combustion chamber. one way of checking pulse is to connect a noid light(small light bulb that plugs in injector pigtail to chek for power to injector and ur pulsing ground coming from ecm to injector) an test for a blinking light while cranking engine.
Check all injectors with a needle stethoscope. Unplug electrical connector of bad injectors, and check the signal with (injector check light). The light must pulse. If not might be a bad computer. If yes replace bad injectors with new one. Hope will help. This is a free advice. Do not rate me.
Injector pulse comes from Cam sensor, If you have a BAd CAMSHAFT sensor you will not get injector pulse, replace sensor and that should solve your problem. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA
