My honda harmony II model number HRR2168VYA rear wheel won't turn backwards, they move forwards just fine.

If you remove the wheels, there are little keys under spring pressure. The grease lubricating them hardens over time. Clean this out with toothpicks and brake cleaner, reassemble with some wheel bearing grease or grease from a lube gun, and it should work just fine, otherwise maybe the trans has a problem.

I need help putting my 1990 honda elite carburetor back together

Buy a rebuild kit for it- has all the gaskets, rubber or composite-made parts, and a few most-wear-prone pieces. But always included with the kit is a sheet of paper showing a blown-up or "exploded" view of the carburetor, and every part is numbered. Starting at 1 and going to often about 100. Or 80 maybe for a small carburetor. But the key is to dismantle it in order from 1 to the end. And to put it back together in just the reverse order.
That's what you have to do. The only way to get it all back together, and the right jets in their proper place, and not spend time putting something on and then having to take it back off because something else went in or on first, you want it to work right after all the frustration and time you spent on it. You won't know until it is bolted back on and the engine started and you have test driven it...you won't know if you did it right until that moment. So get that sheet of paper. Most all carburetors show the last part is the throttle valve body assembly-the base of the carburetor. The obvious place to start. Follow the order back, by the numbers, at one you are done. A rebuilt carburetor!

I have a 5521 R husqvarna walk behind mower. I have taken off the carburetor to clean it out since someone didn't winterize the mower and I am having difficulty putting it back together. Basically

If it is the plate I think you are talking about, it will go between the carb and the engine. It is a heat shield of sorts so sits behind the carb

1999 Jeep grand cherokee limited with Quadra trac only works as two wheel drive when all wheel is selected and will not go into 4-lo. Sounds like it isn't engaging fully and feels like the lever should go...

Could you tell me what selection you have on your 4x4 shifter?

You have 4 high (full time) N 4 Low and nothing else?

Quadra only sends power to the front axle when it is needed, it uses a hydraulic unit that senses slip then send power to the front.

You also need to make sure your getting it in to gear right, for me I found that getting to 4 low can be hard as they tend to bind, move the 4x4 shifter to N take your foot off the brake and pull it into 4 low, do the same getting back out.

I have owned every 4x4 Jeep T case in Grands from 93 to 02 they offer fantastic traction and options and are strong.

Make sure your T case fluid is full, if you have never changed it DO SO, as dirty fluid plays hell on them, if you do have Quadra trac you need to get the correct fluid for the case, go to your Jeep dealer and get it, DONT put trans fluid in as this dose not work right with the system.

If you want "Locked" run the system in 4 low, as heavy off road in 4high with Quadra is not the best for heavy off road, use 4 low to that.

If you need more help just ask, I hope this worked.

1993 2HI N 4LO, 1998 5.9 LX Quadra trac with limited slips 2000 2HI, 4HI full 4HI part N 4LO 2002 Limited with Quadra with Vari-Lok differentials.

Do the carbs on the 1983 vf400 come off one by one or all together and any tips i should know to get them off thanks josh....

The carburetor rack comes off as an assembly. All four at the same time. You need to take extra care with Honda v-4 carburetors, if you twist or flex the rack you can break the feeder connections between the carburetors. Often the tiny orings have broken or started leaking by now. A major problem with all Honda v-4's. If you take the rack out try not to separate the carburetors or you will have problems with the feeder pipes and o-rings (they will leak when you put them back together.)

On my 72 cb100 when I pull the clutch in, the bike dies while idling. It runs fine while getting gas, but does not run at idle. It will start right back up when it does die. Any ideas?

The slow circuit of the carburetor is dirty. Take the carburetor off and remove the slow and main jets. Shoot carburetor cleaner through the jets and through the passageways of the carburetor body to be sure that it is clear. Does the bike die when you pull in the clutch and put it into gear? If it dies when you put it in to gear , you may have clutch plates that are stuck together. Take off the engine side cover, remove the clutch springs, pull out the clutch boss and the clutch plates. Carefully separate the plates, replace any damaged plates, coat the plates with oil and put them back in the same order. This should make the clutch act normally again.

Can you help me?

It sounds like condensation in the gas tank has reached a point where water in the gas is a problem.

Drain the carburetors. There should be a screw on the lower side or bottom of each carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Is there any water or trash in the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the tank. Is there any water or trash in the cup? Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, (not all bikes have a water trap bowl). Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carbs to fill with gas. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetors from the engine.

FOR EACH carb > Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Put the carb back together and install. Clean or replace the air filter and install an in-line fuel filter. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. This process should get you back on the road. ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher at hand when working on carburetors.
