I need help pairing my B250-XT bluetooth to my Iphone

Eileen,

There are 2 parts to bluetooth. Step 1 is pairing. You need to set the phone AND the headset to detect each other (pairing mode). The phone is the easy part - it will tell you on the screen that it is searching for the headset. The headset has a specific way to put it in detect/pair mode. Sometimes it is holding down the power button for 5 seconds or longer. When the phone detects the headset, it will ask for the password and allow you to name it.

Sometimes, the phones already try the default 0000 passcodes and connect automatically.

Step 2 is connecting to the bluetooth device.

If you are connected and can make and receive calls, you don't need to do anything anymore.

Best of luck.

Blue parrot b250 xt headset instructions

Depending on the cell phone, you will need to connect to the headset AFTER pairing. Pairing just lets the phone know that the headset exists. Connecting to the headset will allow actual use. What phone are you trying to connect it to?

How do sync with my new phone?

1. You must start with the headset in the OFF position. Put the headset in pairing mode by Pressing and holding the Multi-Function Button until the lights are flashing alternating Red and Blue, you will then release the Multi-Function Button. Please note the headset will continue flashing Red and Blue until the paring cycle times out (approximately 2 minutes) or completes the paring with the cell phone. If you only press and release the Multi-Function Button the headset will not go into the paring mode.

2. Once the headset is in paring mode, go to the Bluetooth menu / connections of your cell phone. Select add new / search for / find new device (different phones have different but similar names for the options). The cell phone should find a device called VXi B250-XT. Move the cursor over the VXi B250-XT and press (OK, select, enter, or whatever your phone uses for a prompt). If the cell phone asks for a passkey code you will put in 0000 (four zero's). The headset will then pair and connect to the cell phone and be blinking Blue once every second. Your phone may ask you if you want to connect to the B250-XT and/or add it to your trusted device list, press (OK, select, enter, or whatever your phone uses for a prompt).

How to pair my blue parrot b250 with my phone lost my notes on how to pair

1. Turn headset off (panel 5).
2. Hold down the headset’s MFB until the red and blue lights
flash and you hear 2 rising tones, followed by 4 more tones.
Important: Wait for all tones and for both lights to flash. This
may take up to 15 sec. Release the MFB.
3. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for putting your
cellular phone into Bluetooth discovery mode.
4. Wait 5-15 sec. while the devices discover each other.
When the phone discovers the headset, select “Pair” and
enter a passcode of 0000 when instructed. When pairing
is complete the headset’s blue light will stop flashing and
the phone will prompt you to ‘connect’ to the headset.
Enter “Yes” on the phone to connect to the headset. When
connected, the blue light will flash indicating that the
headset is in standby mode ready to receive a call.

Wont audio to headset

The problem with the Blue Parrot headset not getting audio from the phone is a very frustrating one and it took several hours to diagnose the problem. (Especially the Samsung/ Windows side, in my case)

I have a Samsung I760 phone using Windows Mobile 6.1. After pairing, the headset is visible in the PHONE window, as it should. But upon dialling, the audio transfers from headset to phone.

While in a call, you can tap on the menu button and it should bring you to a menu that would allow you to transfer the audio from headset to phone and vice versa. But this action malfunctions in the Blue Parrot headset only. The Blue Eagle headset works fine.

MY SUGGESTIONS:

1) Chuck the hideously expensive blue parrot headset in the trashcan and buy yourself a blue eagle, available at truck stops everywhere

2) Pester the Blue parrot support staff for a replacement, or a solution at 1800 742 8588.

Make sure you understand the manual and especially point 13 dealing with the transfer of audio before you call them.

Other than this, the headset actually works fine.
