Not working

Good Afternoon James,

I see that you are still having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, finishing and now starting a load, even after replacing the door lock.

I would start by making sure that your washer door is completely closed.

Next I would check to make sure that your washer controls are not locked. You will see a "LOC" code if the controls are locked. To get them out of the lock mode, press and hold the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time for 10 seconds.

If you are still having trouble you will want to give your washer a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

Once power is restored, if you are still having trouble with your appliance either not starting or not completing the cycle, I would recommend contacting either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-

Whirlpool duet washer wont star after clean cycle was run.in fact, im not even sure if the clean cycle cycled all the way through. front wont light up or anything.door was locked but got it unlocked by...

Those parts are not from the washer. The trap is before the pump so that is a good thing. Most likely the switch to the door is not working or the control board is bad

Washer Control Locked blinking and won't washer won't work

Water still in the bottom of the drum. Empty, clean filter and check pump is turning. Once pressure switch is satisfied no water is left it'll allow the door to open, assuming the door interlock is still ok.

Error code 41

The error code E41 means the control board is detecting an open door switch. It might be due to a broken wire harness, broken door lock/switch assembly, or in worst cases a faulty control board.

Unplug the machine or disconnect power. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the spring of the retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off the part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock/switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

jahn27_447.jpg

Remove the screws securing the door lock/switch assembly
to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock/switch assembly out of the front panel then
disconnect the door switch harness then short circuit the terminals by putting a jumper wire between them.

jahn27_449.jpg

Put the door lock/switch assembly back into position in the front panel then secure it with the securing screws previously removed.
Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop. Reconnect power and run a test cycle. Replace the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the problem if the washer works fine with the door switch bypassed. If not, replace the control board.

Washer. door lock wont lock. I hear a click click, like it's locked, but the indicator lock light is not on, then a couple seconds later I hear another click click like it's unlocking and then...

the actual door lock switch inside the wall of your washer where the door clips in has most likely burnt out or a piece has broken out of it i have found the only way to fix this problem is to replace the door lock switch

Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000ESI - won't spin

I just had this problem with my Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000EE0.

When the machine seems to work fine (as it will wash but just won't kick into a spin cycle) it is most likely the door lock/switch assembly. In addition to the actual door lock solenoid and door closed switch, the assembly contains a secondary lock in the form of a wax motor and an auxiliary switch. This wax motor and switch activates during the spin cycle. When the wax motor goes bad the secondary lock does not activate therefore the spin cycle switch does not activate, which in turn disables the spin cycle. Even though you can hear your door lock kick in and the door is locked it is most likely the secondary lock in this switch assembly. Start by replacing it first.

Unplug the washer unless you want to get shocked! Take out the two screws at the back of the washer that holds on the washer top and remove the top by sliding towards the back of the machine and lift up. You can go to the front of the machine and reach down inside to the door lock while removing the two screws that hold it in from the outside front of the machine. Once the lock is removed there should be enough wire slack to get the lock up above the tub before you go and try to unplug any connections. Make sure and make notes as to where your connections go on the switch. Simply unplug the old switch and plug your new lock assembly in, remount it, and put the top back on. You should be good to go.

One note, don't panic if you select spin cycle and it doesn't start spinning immediately. Wax motors actuate very slow and smoothly. It could take up to a minute for the lock and switch mechanism to get into place before the spin will start.

Have a great day!
