The blinking timer led is caused by the DM not completeing the boot sequence. The V26 dm repair kit will usually fix that issue. Its 35.00 at the following link and contains the replacement capacitors and instructions

The DM not completeing the boot sequence is what causes the steady blinking LED. However I cant be 100% positive that the DM kit will repair the issue, allthough 90% of the time it does. The repair kits are very detailed on how to do the repair, so you shouldnt have any difficulty if you go slow and follow the directions.

I have the 62" and when this happens to mine i just try unplugging it O/Nite.......plug it back in and retry...it worked....There is a reset button also but that never works...If you check the web for this problem and MORE...you will find alot of people are having this issue .....sorry that you have this problem and hope this helps you...this is the last time I'll ever buy this brand...GL to you

The lamp was replaced 4 months ago. I have been told by many other
people that I should replace the lamp...but I kept the old one which
had not burned out yet ( I was just getting the warning light to
replace it soon) and the television will still not turn on.

OK,
Ballast lamp that used in DLP TVs is not ordinary lamp that you can test/ check. Its performance is monitored in TV trough its current consumption and when it exceeds to its limit, protection circuit in TV activates and shuts down TV for safety.
Please let me know the lamp that was replaced 4 months back was original from Mitsubishi or it was aftermarket/ cheaper lamp?
If it was low cost lamp and not bought from Mitsubishi then I would recommend to replace it again as there is no other reason / alternate of that problem in TV

The lamp was an OEM lamp. I did not purchase the housing though.

NO, there are few other reasons of flashing green light but most common reason is lamp.
Green light is flashing as error code so lets read out error code.
Press and hold "DEVICE" and "MENU" buttons on front of TV for 6 seconds, that will activate error code operational check. (please press and hold said buttons on TV front panel, remote buttons wont be used for that purpose)
Led will start flashing in 2 sequence, like 3 times, pause, 4 times.

The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not manually switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets.
Unplug TV from AC, replug back in, turn it ON and let it shut down then press and hold said buttons located on TV front.

Its symptom of Weak Lamp in TV that can not be detected by system control as it keeps try to boot it up.
In my opinion, you need to replace Mitsubishi Original Lamp in TV for longer viewing.

I would like to elaborate on my question. I have a Mitsubishi WD-62825G DLP television. I replaced the lamp after getting a yellow warning lamp light about 4 months ago with an aftermarket bulb.
I was away on vacatio and the house sitter said that when she attempted to turn on the television, it would not light up the screen and she was seeing a green flaching light under the 'Timer' button on the screen's console. This light does not go out. I have tried reset, powering off and unplugging the TV. I am unable to get into the error code menu as the set does not 'power down' with all the lights turning off. I hear a fan on in the back of the set but besides that and the blinking light, nothing else heppens.
I have been told that it was the bulb and I need it replaced and I have been told that it is the DM card or the formatter - either of which are not available separate of taking it in to a repair shop and both are expensive to repair. I am trying to narrow it down some more.
I have tried unplugging it overnight and it doesn't change the fact that when power is applied, only the blinking light comes on.
I am not 'rejecting' your advice, I only want to narrow it down as I have heard from other 'experts' that the problem is something else....you should not fault me for wanting to make sure before spending my hard earned money in these tight economic times!
Thank you for responding. A previous expert informed me that the issue was with the lamp and that it had to do with a power problem. How confident are you that the DM is the issue and that this will fix the problem?
If I am a novice, will this kit be fairly easy to follow and do the repair?
