Just tried to do a copy from the scan bed and I'm getting the same error code, so it must not be something in the computer OS system. What would be causing that even from the printer screen? It prints out a print head sheet after doing a cleaning cycle, but won't print a copy. I can use the scanner program with no problem from the computer.
These codes can be indicative of a faulty sensor or damaged part.
But let's try this:
I have had similar issues with my MACs and HP printers, however I have often fixed the problem by re-installing the printer software and/or deleted the printer from the printer list in system preferences.
If you have the Epson disc fine...if not, the OS should be able to "find" it for you via the internet. try re-installing the printer software.
BUT you say that the scanner works via the computer.
Have you tried shutting off the Epson and unplugging it from the A/C outlet and unplugging all cables? Leave the cables out for at least 30 seconds and try again. This is the procedure for a forced re-boot of many printers. Hopefully, this will help.
Since the OP seems to have gone away and I have the same problem, I'll pick up this thread, if that's OK.
My printer is on my LAN which includes machines running several versions of Windows, Linux, and OS X; however, the error code is displayed even if I try to print things using the LCD panel (e.g., printer status report) or try to copy anything. The printer is visible on the LAN, allows https access to web configuration and to a memory card, and scans to the memory card without problem. It just won't print anymore.
I've inspected for jams, done all the power off/on stuff, removed and reinserted all cartridges - still no joy. Got anything else to try?
TIA

Usually answered in minutes!
Method 1# Unplug and Plug-in: First of all, you have to unplug all the connected cables on your printer. Now take all printer cartridges to remove from your printer. Still turned off your printer from the power source by pushing down the power cables. After that, plug in all the cables and then USB cables. Reinstall the ink cartridges to the printer. Now turn the power back on and then check if the error code still appears. Check whether the blunder message remains. In the event that the error persists, proceed to the next method.
Method 2# Other Method of Unplug and Plug-in: Switch off your Epson printer and then unplug it from the power source. Disconnect the connected cables and USB devices. Now, wait for about five minutes until the printer takes a rest. Push and hold the power button on your printer for fewer minutes. Now you have to connect the power cord to your printer and then release the power button. After that, check whether this message still appears or not.
I hope both these methods will be helpful!
