My kenwood car radio does not read usb and thatis now a new thing

Error code is N/a

IF YOU DID NOT PRESS THE RESET BUTTON NEX TO THE USB PLUG, DO IT. IT WILL REINITIATE THE DEVICE TO THE FACTORY; YOU WILL HAVE TO ADJUST THE CLOCK.
I DID BECAUSE IT WAS WORKING AT FIRST.( PAGE 3 OF THE MANUAL)

You need to send it to Kenwood with proof of purchase, as they need to access a certain chip on the pcb to clear/read the code out.

Try to touch the disconnect then reconnect. That seems to solve my endless reading problem with iPod for sure. I think I might have had problem with USB as well and resolved the same way.

hit done? But first read through the manual and see if there is any sort of initiall startup procedure. (unlikely)
Then try checking all connections. If that doesn't work, unplug, check for the right connection ports, and replug everything. If it still doesn't work, take it to a professional or return it and buy a new one, it could just be defective.

Radio needs to be reset, I have no code.
Unfortunately KENWOOD codes are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

Try your local Radio Decoding Service or Car Radio / Audio Store ...who will connect it to a laptop and read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Hello!! First of all, any radio in the right frequency will work with any other, to work just need the following features: -Frequency, 154.700 which is correct as you said. - the Squelch code, this could be PL or DPL. The XV2100 has a table of codes that you can try, as you dont know this code form the Kenwood, you will need to check one by one. If you have the chance to send the Kenwood to some to "Read" the radio parameters( freq.,Code, ETc) you can look those parameters on the XV.
