First, if you have not done it in a while, restart your device. Press and hold the power button for several seconds until you get the option to Restart. Often just restarting any device will resolve many issues.
If you have a lot of books, etc., on the device, go through and remove what you do not need. For good measure, Restart again after deleting a bunch of stuff.
Finally, you could try a Reset. This deletes everything so you have a clean slate. On a Kindle this is not as drastic as it sounds. Although you do not have to, I would De-register the device before doing a reset. You will probably have to re-register anyway. De-registering may avoid some confusion later. Also, if you have documents or material other than books, make sure you can access it again somewhere or back it up before the reset. REMEMBER, DOING A RESET WIPES OUT ALL CONTENT. The device will be just as you received it initiall. To reset:
From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
Tap the Menu icon again, and then tap Reset Device. Your Kindle will restart.

I'm assuming you bricked your KFHD? if so, you're going through a bootloop? try booting into Safe Mode by holding both volume buttons during startup. Then :
Pull down the notifications bar at the top of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD
Select +More...and choose Device
Now select Factory Data Reset
Tap Yes when prompted
Your Kindle Fire HD will be de-registered and then reset
Do not touch your Kindle Fire HD until it restarts
Your device will be restored and you will now need to follow the set up process to get it working again
The following procedure details the process to Hard Reset your NOOKcolor device. Doing so will perform a factory reset of the NOOKcolor which de-registers your device as well as erases all local content such as contacts, sideloaded documents, personal information, 4 digit passcodes, etc.
1.Ensure your NOOKcolor is powered off; to do so, depress the power button for 5 seconds. Your LCD screen should turn off 2.With your NOOKcolor powered off, Hold the Home Key (NOOK "n," logo below the LCD), while simultaneously depressing the Power Button for up to 25 seconds. 3. Your NOOKcolor will begin the start up process, Do NOT let go until a confirmation window appears asking if you would like to, "Factory Reset Your Device?" This will De-Register as well as erase all content and information on your NOOKcolor (Including the 4 Digit Pass-code 4. Depress the Home Key to continue with the Factory Reset 5. Depress the Home Key again to Confirm 6. Your device will now begin the clearing process. Tal vez hay un problema con el cargador. Normalmente, usted puede cargar la batería con la computadora. Trate de comprar otro cargador. Pero antes de comprar, probar el cargador de nuevo en primer lugar.
